If you called to check if you had code....

So you just give them your old email and they can look it up that way? Interesting. I'll have to try it.

I signed up on the disneyworld.com website a few days ago and got a code in my email inbox, it was in the junk mail so make sure you scan that also.

What are these codes you are talking about? I have a trip planned feb 10-12.
Thanks for your help!

Yes, be sure to have them check old mailing addresses as well and also if your name changed have them check under the old name as well. I would strongly recommend a travel agent as they can get to this info, esp. if you give them all of your old information and they don't charge you anything, Disney just gives them a commission, but a good travel agent will work hard to find the best possible deal for you. My travel agent found my pin code once I gave her the info she needed to find it, unfortunately it is only good fr trips in Feb. and Mar. and we are planning our trip in August, but the discount is good enough that we are considering a trip in Feb./Mar. now as well. On a weekend trip alone we could save up to about $500.

Basically they are codes that are sent to you via email or postal mail that give you a deep discount on rooms and sometimes packages.

I called and got no specials, or deals or codes. She did look for a PIN though. But the cost with INS is the same that everywhere else is quoating me. Even AAA was no cheaper.

I called to get a quote for August and asked if I had any discounts on my name. TEh CM said no discounts are out yet for that time. I don't know if I even asked the right question. I wish I would have gotten the 40% off code- great deal.

Well, I did receive the 40% off mailer, but I am going to call and tell them I am interested in visiting and just inquire about resort prices and availability and ask about discounts and offers before I book anything. I am just going to tell them I am trying to get a ballpark figure so I know what I can afford and how long and where I will be able to stay. I am hoping to see if they offer me the same discount as the mailer or perhaps something different or maybe nothing at all.

I have not received any of the mailers or codes that you guys talk about. Boy, how I wish I had. Smokeydiamond if you do call will you let us all know how it pans out for you? I would love to take my daughter in December for her b-day and am thinking of just calling CRO up like all of you do and asking about codes on my name or whtaever you call it. I just feel so weird and nervous that they will be like WHAT are you talking about lady???

I nver get flyers or mailers either. I get occasioanl emails. I don't remember the last one I got though.
I wish I could find something for March.

When I called they offered me NO deals even when I told her that we were loooking for any type of deal possible.

I will definately let you all know. I am going to call Monday. I did get a nice figure from disneyworld.com. 3 nights at POR standard view $624.42 and if I apply my FL resident code it would come to $441.42. I am wanting to see if they can beat that.

don't wait to apply that resident rate, they can always tell you that it is NOT available...they only have so many rooms at that rate & if the amount of rooms are taken, even though you have a ressie, the cannot apply that rate. I would not hold my breath waiting to see if anything better comes out, you will end up paying the higher price. Most of the time the resident & AP rates are the lowest...

I think the more you go, the less apt you are to get a code with your name, email for lower rate etc.. they have your faithful business. There was one time when my son's entire baseball team stayed at the All Star Sports. For some of them, it was their first time.. for me... I go all the time. About 6 months later, the rest of the team hadn't made any trips back, me I was there about 3 more times...low and behold..nearly everyone that booked got a post card with a rate the same as my AP rate... I didn't. One year I didn't renew my pass. We did only US that year... guess what.. I got a post card.... so that is just my feeling on it, I could be wrong... but to me.. that is how I think it works.....

Good point. I also have the PIN code mailer for 40% off which if I am doing the math right is about the same as the FL resident rate. I think those rooms may be the same availability though.

they usually do.. all the discounted rooms get lumped into one group. 9 our of 10 times, when one particular discount is sold out, so is the other. At least this holds true with AP & FL rates.. and AP comes out before FL rate.. so we get the bottom of the barrel.. but that is ok with me... ;) better than nothing as long as I can get it :cool2:
