I am freaking out...shaking...but very happy. We've had many "messages" from my mom since she passed in July 2004 and I think I just got another one. A vendor who I work with closely sent me an email telling me his vacation dates...I wrote back informing him I was going to Florida on the 17th and he wrote back for SOME REASON "Dear AUDREY"....my mom's name!!! I sat there staring at the screen in disbelief. But then pulled myself together and thought "Maybe he knows someone named Audrey (not a common name) and got confused." SO I asked him. His reply was that he is having problems with his keyboard!!!!! He thought he typed MY NAME...and AUDREY just happened to come out????

I'm hearing the Twilight Zone music now!

I am a firm believer in messages from beyond. Gives me comfort to think that in some way they are still with us.

I believe, I do believe!! How wonderful & blessed you are! :goodvibes

Wow Winnie...that's really something!! I'm sure your mom is trying to just tell you hello and that she's thinking about you!

I've only ever had one "sign" from my mother but since my Father in law passed 2 months ago, we've had so many signs it's uncanny - the largest one being the sale of our shared investment property which sat vacant for 2 years - a week after he died! No one even breathed near this property and the week after he died, two people wanted to buy it the same day!

I told my MIL that FIL was looking out for her and would make sure she would be ok financially.

Sorry to hijack your thread!

You aren't hijacking. I love these stories.

My dad stopped by my house after he died. I had a picture on my entertainment center of him when he was about 16. For some reason, it used to annoy him that I had it up there (when he was alive) and he'd always be telling me to take it down. About 2 days after he died, I was upstairs and DH was in the basement when all of a sudden, there was this loud bang on the main floor. I came down the staircase and there was Dad's picture lying in the middle of the living room floor. No windows were open and no other pictures were moved (his was in the center of about 8). No picture ever fell off there before or after this.

DH just started laughing when I looked up and said, "Well, hi, Daddy." :teeth:

I haven't heard from him since but it would be like him to stop by so I'd know he was ok.

I'm glad for you, luvwinnie! :teeth:

These stories give me goosebumps. I am also a firm believer in messages from loved ones. I've had one big sign from my mom and when it happened, I knew she was OK and still with us :)

I love these kinds of stories!

My family gets many "messages" from our loved ones...really only my mother's side, though. Must be that magic Gypsy blood!

Wait...what I didn't add was he said "I hope you are going to Disney World." Now that I look back at my orig. email I NEVER SAID I WAS GOING TO FL! I just said I was going on vacation. DH thinks my mom is telling me to go to WDW. We weren't planning on it. We are going to West Palm to see relatives and didn't want to have to board, Winnie, our bulldog. HMMMM....

I belive that it is a sign and your Mom will be next to you on the trip.
My stepdad passed away the day after Thanksgiving. He knew that I had "telephathic" dreams but only wanted to hear the dreams that had the lottery numbers!! Anyway, the week before christmas, my mother went to my Aunts house (my stepdad's sister) for a Christmas party. That night I had a dream that we had a family gathering and my father was among us but in spirit. I called mom to tell her, that we were around a kitchen island, one that I didn't recognize, but that it was white and square. She nearly dropped the phone and said that she was staring at my Aunt's island. I have never been to my Aunts house. We came to the conclusion that my Dad was with them that night!!!
Keep the faith!! :sunny:

I absolutely, positively, 100% believe that our loved ones are still with us after they pass, just in a different way. Maybe sometime I'll tell you all about my reading with John Edward the psychic, that convinced me that there was no doubt about it?? And No, I'm not usually into that type of stuff..It freaks my DH out just to think about it!! (psychics, crystal balls, 6th sense, etc..) but I believe now. Gotta go get the kids from school now. :ccat: Amy

Wow -- that is sooo neat -- I have never had a sign altho i still have almost all my family here.. My mom swears she is gonna come back and let us know she is ok.. My sis plays with weegee(sp)boards with her friends and creeps herself out!!!

I think this is the coolest thread!!!!!!!!!!!

I have someone who visits often, but I have no idea who it is. They make a “ting” sound on my chandelier (like when a spoon hits glass for a toast). Some times it’s one ting sometime three in a row. I have asked them to let me know who they are, but they have yet to tell me.

Luvwinnie- I love that your mother has found a way to let you know she is thinking of you and around you. Tell us more!

After my mom passed away I had several dreams that were so vivid that I swear it was her trying to communicate with me. Some of the things said in the dreams makes me believe she was. In one she was arguing with me about he age of my dad's new wife. She was right, I was wrong. :rotfl2:

to the OP I think it is great that your mom is communicating with you. sure helps a lot when you are missing them so much. :goodvibes

Thank you all for sharing your stories too. I feel so warm inside right now.
