what would you do? My new co-workers have spent the week playing practical jokes on each other. Today some of the ladies in the office decided to take some tampons and dip them in tuna in oil and then hide them all over one of the guys desk. Now I love a good practical joke, but I did not find this funny. I think it borders/is sexual harrassment. If my dh called and told me this had happened to him I would be really ticked. I just feel they crossed the line today.

That's disgusting - their supervisor should reprimand them. (they obviously don't have enough to keep them busy - they need more work to do!)

You say these are new coworkers....are you new or are they? If you are, maybe they have a long standing/very strange/weird standard of behavior. If they are new, I'm guessing they might not be around too much longer, lol.

Sounds like a disgusting joke and while I don't see anything really relating to sexual harassment, but I do think that particular joke is in very poor taste. And I can imagine the smell will be one that lingers....

Yuck!

I wouldn't call them ladies. Who even thought of such a thing?

I'm all for a good pratical joke, but that was gross and not funny at all.

I'm the newbie here. It'll be interesting to see what the retaliation will be.

I'd be looking for a new job asap. These so-called "ladies" sound like disgusting creeps. Their behavior is asinine, juvenile and borders on harassment.

yuck.

agnes!

I am probably in the minority here, but depending on how they kid around in the office I would have laughed. It really depends on how they joke during the day. :confused3

It s the poor cleaning ladies who are going to suffer. His ego will just be boosted that they thought him worthy of that pratical joke. There could be legal implications. What if he is allergic to fish ? I know a co worker who is.... If a guy hung condoms on a new gals desk she would be on the phone to HR...

Bad prank I can think of many safer and funnier pranks..... :goodvibes

Where on earth do you work, Chuck E Cheese w/ a group of teenie boppers? The term "get a life" seems lost on your coworkers...watch your back!

Condoms full of mayonaise?? :confused3

It's disgusting, but not sexual harrasment. I bet those tampons soaked up a lot of stinky oil!

Not funny....disgusting, unprofessional, and not appropriate for work.

If it were my husband, I wouldn't be upset. But, I do think it is disgusting and inappropriate for the workplace.

:lmao: This is funny I'm doing my works CODE of CONDUCT right now as I DIS.

I see nothing yet about the FISHYNESS of things ,However I did see something about doing personal webbrowsing while on company time. :teeth:

I'm assuming these are grown women we are talking about? I couldn't imagine doing something like that even in my first high school job. If I were the man's wife, I'd be disgusted, but pretty confident that despite how inappropriate their actions were, there was no way my husband would be attracted to these "ladies" so nothing to worry about.

What kind of business is this that this kind of stuff goes on?

Evil Genius--what kind of business is this?

It sounds like a stupid and immature thing to do--and I worked in a car dealership where the mechanics played tricks on me constantly!
