OMG you 2 are hilarious :rotfl2:

Not many people here have the WDW obsession  I suppose it's cos it's so expensive to get there!!!!!

:lmao: It is a REAL fantasy. I get to go to a real place with fake princesses :rotfl2:

:rotfl2: You mean they aren't real Pricesses? :confused3

Yay!!! You're getting closer everyday. Did you pick up a Passporter yet? It's a great planning tool. I really like the layouts of each resort's room. Even though I know I'm only in there to sleep, it helped me choose a resort.

Where are you staying in DL?

The apartment hunting was semi-successful. I may have found something. Fingers crossed!

I have the 2007 Passporter and can't wait to get 2009's! :hyper: I love the layouts too. The dining guide came in really handy when planning our first trip. For 2009 we are doing DVC with Jenna so as of now we are wanting the OKW GV. It's almost as big as my house. :rotfl2:

Our Disneyland trip will be on the cheap. DH and DD11 are going to D.C. for the week for an educational forum for her so I thought I'd drive the little two down for a week. We are staying at the HoJo (Howard Johnson's). It's best off property hotel withing walking distance. I don't know if you've been to Disneyland but it's not near the size of WDW. There is just as much magic if not more ;) pixiedust: but by no means is it the total destination that WDW is so it's very easy to stay off site to save a few bucks. My gf and her son are coming with us so we'll share the fuel and room which works for both of us. :thumbsup2 Fuel and 5 nights at the hotel will cost about $300 each! :cool1:

I need to read back on your thread but are you looking in the city? I have only been to NYC once and it was amazing!!!!!! I loved every minute of it. It has such a great energy. :goodvibes

Does HoJos have a good buffer from the fwy noise....?

::yes:: We like Building 1 which is nearest the lobby and not near the freeway. Plus, since I am a freak Type A early riser, I requested the top floor for the skylight. :cool1: Their new pirate pool will be finished too and their gift shop is pretty good. I am so excited!!!! :yay: :yay: :yay: :yay: :yay: :yay: :yay: :yay: :yay: :yay: :yay: :yay: :yay: :yay: :yay: :yay: :yay: :yay: :yay: :yay: :yay: :yay: :yay:

OKW GV sounds amazing.

I've been to DL. And I agree with you about the magic there. It's so intimate. I really love it.

I'm looking for a new apartment in either Manhattan, Brooklyn, Queens, Westchester, or Long Island. So much for narrowing down my search :confused3

That's our first choice for 2 reasons: it's huge and the cheapest. If it's not available then my next choice would be the AKL GV. :thumbsup2

Intimate is the perfect word. I grew up 15 minutes from Disneyland and it's home to me. :cloud9:

:faint: Wow, there are tons of choices for you. My friend, who we stayed with, lived in Queens. I  it! They had the greatest 3 bedroom apartment that was part of a big house. Do you work in any of the above mentioned cities? I'd love to take DH and the kids to NY. Having any kind of food delivered was SO cool. :rotfl2: Seriously, in Utah, they deliver pizza. Period. And schitty pizza at that.

AKL GV must be amazing also.

I can't wait to take my nephew to DL. Just want him to be a little older so he can handle the 6 hour flight. It's such a magical place. WDW is magical too, but it has a different feel.

I looked at a 3 bedroom in Queens today.

I work in Manhattan on the Upper East Side. Whenever I visit my brother in MD, it takes a little while to get used to not being able to order sushi or enchiladas with mole poblano for lunch or dinner. I think NYers take for granted the access we have to variety.

Awww the pizza isn't good in Utah? You need a NY slice :thumbsup2
