When we were together he was very patchy about when he took his meds and when he didn't. I don't know what the score is now because his family are very secretive and creative with the truth:rolleyes1 but in October he really lost the plot when Becci was staying with him and frightened her big time. He's not been that great since and to be honest she doesn't want to spend much time with him. The big problem is that he's a bit of a control freak, very aggressive and thinks Becci's one of his possession and with her going through the adolescent thing it's fireworks all the way. It's a bit of an on going problem but she's a strong girl and with plenty of support hopefully she'll stay that way. Sorry that's probably way too much info for a Tuesday afternoon...you know me and my verbal outpourings.

No I wasn't a trolly dolly, I did the very unglamorous ground staff thing and then I moved into administration (crew rosters, H & S, pay returns, you know all the exciting stuff:rolleyes: ) When BA were closing the base at Glasgow we were offered crew but I like to go home to my girls at night and to be honest I'm with Jenna on the flying thing, I dont let it stop me going places but I hate it with a passion:scared: (I can't believe I said that with 16.5 years of service for an airline under my belt:rotfl: )

Poor Becci, being scared by her dad. :sad1: :goodvibes It's heartbreaking but she'll be stronger for it and continue to grow into a solid young woman! :thumbsup2 Trust me, I know. You are a good mommy allowing her to make her decisions.

Admin huh? :snooty: :rotfl2: I bet you were a cool boss!!!

Okay now kids, I have countdown to update and a full summer of plans to share. Let's start with the countdowns:

108 days until Yellowstone!!! :grouphug:

We had to change the dates because my gf Marina is coming to visit the first week in July and I fear my boss will have my head if I try to take off 2 weeks in a row. :rotfl:

160 days until Disneyland!!!! :rainbow: :rainbow: :rainbow: :rainbow: :rainbow:

394 days until WDW!!!!! :cheer2: :woohoo: :cheer2: :woohoo:

OK....... I'll join in on these countdowns.........

68 Days Until WDW

:woohoo: :woohoo: :yay: :yay: :cheer2: :cheer2:

OMG Jenna how cool it this?!?!?! I'll bet you're getting all:yay: :yay: :yay: . I'm very jealous of you all with your summer holiday plans, I'm afraid I'm bound for St Andrews this year

Jenny, I don't know about the staff thinking I was:cool2: to be honest I think they thought of me more as a soft touch, there were quite a few folk that were very chummy but when I had to make decisions they didn't like they were :furious: . It took me a long time not to take it personally and I'm so happy now that the biggest problem I have at work at Christmas is getting Real Gift cards out in time to reach donors for :santa: (when I published the Christmas & New Year rosters at the airport I practically needed security to walk me to my car at night:scared: )

It can be difficult to be a friend and a boss. :headache: And most people don't take kindly to contructive feedback. ;) I bet it's nice to be a SAHM. I did it for 10 years until I got this hairbrained idea to get my Masters. What was I thinking???? :upsidedow

OMG Jenny another trip :faint: You lucky thing you!

Kirsteen it must be really tough on Becci, thank goodness shes a toughie :goodvibes

Nope not full time SAHM, I tried that for a couple of months and thought I would go off my head, I realy admire people who have the patience for this. I work Thu/Fri's for an International Aid Fund doing admin work and I love it. The initial plan when I was made redundant was to go to university and get my Midwifery degree but the HR consultant handling the base closure for BA said that there were no jobs in the west of Scotland for midwives and if I wanted to go down that road I would have to relocate down south or emigrate:scared1: ...needless to say that was not going to be an option. Any way all power to you for the route you've taken, its fantastic that you've found your passion:woohoo:

I know Jo, she is such a lucky beyatch:rolleyes1

Becci used to be realy nervous and constantly tried to please everyone but all of a sudden she's "owning" her pre teen hormones and is not taking any sh*te from anyone:woohoo: . Most mother's hate that phase (I admit sometimes I do too) but if it's empowering my little girl then bring it on:thumbsup2

I feel lucky!!!! :woohoo: Yellowstone is so much fun too. Jenna et al have never been. They are going to drive here first and stay 2 nights. I hope the kids don't touch the banister! :rotfl2:

What do you do working for the International Aid Fund? It's sounds intriguing. popcorn::

It's better than being an unlucky beeyotch!!!!!! :lmao: :rotfl:

:thumbsup2 Good for Becci. Applaude her ability to voice her concerns and needs. I see far too many women who are unable to do so. :sad1:

I am a bad mommy!!!

I played an April Fool's joke on the boys and poor Chris ended up in tears. I feel terrible, yet I'm laughing at the same time.

I sent this to them:
http://www.yahoo.americangreetings.com/ecards/view.pd?i=306105892&m=4225&rr=y&source=yahoo999

I pulled it up on the computer so they couldn't see the heading. I had them really believing that they would be going to school year round and therefore missing our Yellowstone trip.

You ARE a bad mommy!!!! :rotfl: And I LOVE it!!!!! pirate: That is so stinkin' funny. I can just see the boys' faces all in shock.

I think I have some old ones posted in either this pre-trippie or my post trippie (link at the bottom) :goodvibes We love going there. It's only 4 hours away but feels like another world. :cloud9:

I am glad the kinders didn't eat you alive today! How was it?

101 days until Yellowstone!!!!!! :yay: :yay: :yay: :yay: :yay:

Oh I'm going to go check out the other tr for photos. I've been to Yosemite and it was so amazing. I'd like to visit Yellowstone one day.

The kids were very nice to me. I'm happy to be back. I cannot sit at home too long.

Oh Jenna you're so rotten....I bet it was hilarious:rotfl:

Yellowstone looks stunning....I'm with you on the camping thing Jenna I don't do accomodation without bathrooms:scared1:

The Aid Fund I work for supports projects in Africa, Asia and Latin America and also do alot of campaign work within the UK and provide advocacy training to people in the third world. I do admin work for a few sections including Advocacy, Outreach and supporters services. It's realy varied and can be anything from booking travel arrangements to helping arrange photo shoots. I love the variety and the fact that I'm working for people who're trying to improve the lives of others rather than a large company whose only interested is making more and more money no matter what the cost is. Here endeth the lesson...sorry that made me sound like a bit of a :hippie: but I do realy believe in the work that SCIAF does.

That sounds VERY fullfilling and ::yes:: you sound like a :hippie: I agree that it's important to believe in what you do. My philosophy is that if I am spending precious time away from my loved ones, it best be for something worthwhile and that I enjoy. :goodvibes
