AKL GV must be amazing also.

I can't wait to take my nephew to DL. Just want him to be a little older so he can handle the 6 hour flight. It's such a magical place. WDW is magical too, but it has a different feel.

He will love it. DL's Fantasyland is pure magic! pixiedust:

I looked at a 3 bedroom in Queens today.

I am not familiar with how far the burrows are but what would the Manhattan/Queens commute entail? :confused3

I work in Manhattan on the Upper East Side. Whenever I visit my brother in MD, it takes a little while to get used to not being able to order sushi or enchiladas with mole poblano for lunch or dinner. I think NYers take for granted the access we have to variety.

You are VERY spoiled with all of your killer take-out!!!!

Awww the pizza isn't good in Utah? You need a NY slice :thumbsup2

I would give almost anything for a slice. And a good cannoli  Woe is me!!!!

The commute won't be so bad. If I didn't want to drive, I could hop on an express bus. I really dislike the subway, so that's not an option.

I am spoiled.

I love cannolis too. They are the best. Love the Italian pastry shops in Brooklyn.

Having only been on the subway a handful of times, I didn't mind it but I can see how it would get old VERY quickly.

I am spoiled.

Clearly. ;) :goodvibes

:cloud9: Sounds so good right now with a cappuccino.

AWW macushla are you feeling neglected...please don't we all love you:grouphug: .

I've just started posting properly again today as the local Chinese eatery saw fit to poison me on Friday night and I spent all of Saturday and some of Sunday "calling on Hughie down the big white telephone" and related activities:sick: ...needless to say I was only safe to be more than five steps away from my very ugly bathroom by yesterday afternoon (and even then I was a bit of a long distance runner:scared: )

Anyway enough spew/etc talk how many more countdowns do you think you'll add between now and May'09:rotfl:

Macushla

Kirsteen so sorry you've been ill  Ellie hasn't been able to be too far from the loo the last 2 days either, so we haven't done anything, first day of the holidays too :sad2: Get better!!!!

Jenny count away :rotfl:

Food poisoning? :scared1: Maybe it's a conspiracy between the Chinese restaurant and BA to kill you off before you can take advantage of the 50% off? Ba$tards! :lmao: I hope you are feeling better!

Sorry I didn't realise this was a strange word. Macushla is a term of endearment like honey or sweetheart, it's a name my mum's alway's used and I tend to use it when the girls need some TLC:hug:

Poor wee Ellie sounds like she neads some TLC, maybe it's a bug going round and not the local Chinese community trying to poison me 'cos I signed the petition re the Chinese human rights record in Tibet;) Hope your wee Ellie macushla feels better soon :goodvibes

Oh Kirsteen, I feel for you!!! Hope you are on the mend!!:goodvibes

Hi Jo! Hope Ellie is feeling better too!:goodvibes How long do your holidays last?

OK, Jenny, so you don't feel alone.......

Don't be blue, cause your friend is gonna see the Mouse in 62!:rotfl:

How's that?

Jenny, you could always add the DL 2010 trip to your countdown list!:rotfl2:

:lmao: I am glad that the Chinese restaurant sees your value. I'd still away from the egg drop soup. I never feel good after eating Chinese. Maybe its the MSG?

OK girls.....I need some expert advice.....

Here's the sitch.......

I got a letter from the school stating that since the boys have missed 10 days, any more absences will require a doctor's excuse. By the way, 5 of those 10 days were excused for our Disney trip, the other 5 they were sick.

Now, the problem is our last day of school is now June 9 due to the make-up snow days. Nate & I will be in WDW at that time, and the boys will be 300 miles away from their school at their Grandparent's House.

What do I do???? I do not want to reschedule our trip. Do we just go anyway and let them get an "unexcused" abscence? It is a half-day in which they usually just watch movies and have a party. It's not like they are missing out on "education" right? Right now I'm leaning towards being honest with their teachers.....telling them that we will be away, and the kids will be with their Grandparents. That way the boys can turn in their books and everything in on Friday June 6 (which is also a half day).

Opinions, please......

I think your snow days are just silly, how can you plan stuff  You can't cancel your trip so I'd be honest and tell the teacher as you say at least they can do all the end of school stuff and TBH does it really matter that they have 1/2 a days absense on their record???
