If the talks with the NBA/MLS are true. What resorts do you think they would monopolize to put all the teams and staff in? Which are the largest resorts?

Rumor has it, Coronado Springs.

But personality, if I wasn’t going to the parks or interested in a very Disney experience, I would want the Old Key West villas. More space and relaxed atmosphere.

I was more thinking which are the easiest to move players to venues for games....like which are closest

Pop Century/Art of Animation and Caribbean Beach Resort and Disney Riviera Resort are closest.

Doubt they would be staying at POP/AoA!lol :)

Gran Destino Tower, Waldorf, maybe Four Seasons. Someone in another thread suggested Gaylord Palms as a possibility.

Coronado is perfect because it’s not connected to any other resort or park, and you cannot walk to it. They just station security at the gate and that’s it- total privacy.

Riviera you can walk to from CBR, so that’s unlikely.

Coronado would be most likely wonder where the move the guest who had reservations. Some might get a nice upgrade

But wasn’t the theory that it would have to be ONLY players at whatever the hotel/resorts were? So do you think they’d buy out the entire Waldorf? I think the whole concept is iffy anyway....

It will be a WDW resort. IMHO, no way is Disney cutting a deal with the NBA and then not capitalizing on resort/food/beverage revenue by moving any players or staff off-property. Can't imagine what the food and bar tab would look like at whatever resort they choose . . . .

Coronado is also a convention hotel. They can use that space for offices, training facilities and the like. I don't think any of them are tall enough for an indoor practice court, but there are places outside that they probably could use.

Coronado Tower or the Contemporary would be my guess. Disney is gonna want to show off.

MLS players get value resorts while NBA players get Bay Lake Towers. I love MLS but if they play the rest of the season in Orlando I think I’m out. It just seems like a terrible plan. NBA Playoffs sounds like an ok idea I guess.

If the resorts are open, OKW will be booked with DVC owners and renters. I would think Coronado Springs.

BLT also is a DVC resort, so it will be full of owners and renters from owners.

DVC owners will not be bumped from a resort to book jocks.

The Waldorf was the hotel used by the league for the 2019 MLS All-Star Event.

It’s a shame Zlatan went back to Serie A because I would have given anything to see him nutmeg Mickey at All Star Sports.

Well was just checking availability at Coronado Springs and all of a sudden most is gone mid July until late August lots of rooms open yesterday
So if I already have a mid August reservation there, they will move us? I wonder when they will notify us.
