If something happened to you, would we on the DIS find out?

I was just reading Dan Murphy's New Year's Eve post. The paragraph about DISers who sadly passed away last year made me wonder - if something like that happened to you, have you asked a family member or friend to share the news with this forum or any other online forum you belong to?

My DD and sister do not post on the DIS, and I very much doubt they would think to do so if something happened to me.

I can say no...unless DBF really thinks about what I do 95% of the day, only then if this happened..but I am sure he would have more on the brain....

To be honest, I'm not sure if that would be on my family's mind. I would hope they would though!

Same thing here, don't think dh would get on here and post. To be honest, he wouldn't even know how. He has never been on forums before. Just fantasy football, websites and email:upsidedow

I think that my son would grab his Disney annual pass and be well on his way to the most magical place on Earth before my body even had a chance to cool.

He's a really brave kid to go back with everything he has been through there.

Probably not. DH thinks we are all a bunch of freaks and I doubt he would think to post here.

Probably not right away, but my husband would get on here and let people know and I'm sure he'd say something on Facebook at some point because most of those people are real life friends.

I think my immediate family would, especially DD & DH, not so much my extended family. DD & DH are as big of Disney nuts as me and I mention "the DIS" in my day-to-day conversation.

agnes!

Not right away, but he would.
I have a huge address book with names and e-mails of DIS friends.

I have a very good friend who is a dis'r....so....maybe.

No one in my family would post on the DIS.
I do, though, have DIS friends as friends on Facebook and I'm sure they'd find out that way.

I doubt it. I honestly believe this would be the last place they would think of!

:sad1: After all the hard stuff was over my daughter would. We have met some great people. They really do care :thumbsup2

No...DH doesn't really know that I post on here and he would probably be a little busy if something happened to me. Besides, I don't post enough on here to really be missed. He would probably say something on Facebook...after he called people that knew me first.

Nobody would know and since I'm not a super regular I don't think it would make that much difference.

Even on boards I'm *really* regular on, I doubt my DH would even consider posting it. I'll be lucky if he thinks to call my family. LOL! ;) His family is so different for these things, it's like "yeah, it's just how it is". Maybe I should ask my DD to do it, she would be the one who knows I visit the DIS boards and others. LOL!

Of course, I'm hoping to live to be 101 and who knows what the technology will be like then or even in 10 - 15 years.
