If I'm taking Magical Express any suggestions on where to get wine?

Hi guys! Please don't get all over me for this one but, I'm wondering where to get some adult beverages (wine), but I'm doing Magical Express. Is the Boardwalk minimart my only option? I must clarify that on vacation I enjoy a nightly glass of wine in my beautiful villa at BVC. Hopefully someone else shares this sentiment. Thank you. Bellesister

If you have your park pass, you could slide through the back door of the World Showcase and grab a bottle at France.

I agree with MM. I picked up a very reasonably priced bottle of wine at the gift shop in France on our trip last Oct. Not sure how it compared with the price/selection at the shop at the Boardwalk but it was good!

The Marketplace sells wine and has a decent selection at decent prices (for WDW  ), as do all the DVC resort stores. Of course France has wine, too :rolleyes1 , and Germany, and Italy, and probably Japan, etc.
But your store at BCV will certainly be the closest.:thumbsup2
We actually pack wine in one of our check-in bags. Amazingly, those heavy shoe boxes that sneakers are packed in are exactly wine-bottle size!:rotfl2: And with some newspaper padding, or light bubble wrap, nothing ever gets broken (so far;) ).
Have a great trip :drinking1 :goodvibes !

We'll be at BWV soon, and never thought of running over to France for a bottle. What a GREAT idea!

Last Oct I traveled to WDW with my friend and our dd's. We were really looking forward to sitting on our BWV balcony, sipping a nice glass of wine. So, we both packed a bottle in our checked luggage. I wrapped mine in bubble wrap, then a few hand towels, then put the whole thing in a large zip-loc baggie. It made it just fine. But, the funny thing is...this was during the Food and Wine Festival....wouldn't you have thought I would have remembered that and planned on buying some wine there? They had the exact same bottle of Australian wine I had dragged down with me, at a booth!!!
Lots of nicer wines in the different countries in WS. You can get it at the shops at the resorts but it does tend to get pricey.

I read on another disboard post that people are able to buy their entire grocery list through www.gardengrocer.com. If you go to the comment section and tell them what kind of wine you want they will try and get it.
We do know that the prices are not that much more than you pay in the stores, just for the convience factor it's worth it. If you do this we've read that it is customary to tip the average amount you would if you were eating at a resturant.
Hope this helps!

Grocery Stores in FL sell wine. Not sure what brands etc. you might be looking for but we were able to have WeGoShop deliver several bottles for our group a couple years ago.

I know the Hess station across from Boardwalk carries beer, but I don't know about wine. You might want to check - I'll bet their prices are cheaper than the hotel's.

I'm very picky about my wine. I too have to have some sitting on my balcony on vacation. Soooo relaxing. I have to say that the wine selection is pretty good at the resort stores. I can't vouch for the white wine though as I am a Cabernet/Merlot kinda girl.

The Chards are acceptable ,too (Kendall-Jackson, etc). :thumbsup2

The shops in Italy have some very good wines as well....

Never knew about the shoe box trick - may have to try that!

Yes Gargden Grocer delivered us 4 bottles and a case of Mich Ultra using the comments section-along with our other groceries-worked great.
