If I'm in Florida, it's gonna be hot! This time last year.....

Signing on. I've missed reading these things!

After exiting the bus, we may or may not have managed to block the path of the eager family all the way to Spaceship Earth where they may or may have only then had enough to run around us. :rolleyes1 What I do know is that I had a plan. The Plan was to find wander WS and find a nice spot for the Special Holiday Edition of Illuminations, and that was The Only Plan. And things were going great.....for all of 5 minutes. DH announced that he was hungry. Hungry? HUNGRY? There's no time for hunger. We just ate.....hmmm......we just ate.... DH interrupts with "yeah, 7 and a half hours ago." But you just had an 80 oz milkshake. But as I started thinking, I guess it had been 7 hours since eating and that meant I also had not had anything to drink (other than the milkshake) in the past 7 hours. :headache: I could I forget to drink water? Or something, anything? Now I remember. The Loud Children didn't want to be responsible for their waters so they left theirs in the room. I took two bottles in my Bagallini and ended up giving them to my lovely bundles of joy. Ok, so now my plan had to be quickly modified to include food. I wanted to try the CS in England, but the line stretched to France, so we kept going. DH wanted to try the Morocco CS, but nothing on the menu sounded good. We, meaning DH, agreed on the CS in Japan....the one upstairs. The line was short, but soooooo slow. I forgot what DH had, but the children had chicken legs and I had the Udon, or as I called them, Undon noodles. Maybe it was the type of noodle or my mood, but I didn't care for the noodles. It sure smelled good and the broth was good. I ended up eating what was left of the 3 chicken legs and the cake......yummy cake. :thumbsup2 By the time we finished and had yet another potty break, the Special Holiday Edition of Illuminations was about to begin. However, there was no room at the inn.  Now DH was the recipient of my death rays. Even though I had now put some water in my body, it was too late; I was already dehydrated, or maybe I it was a heat stroke or mad cow. Either way, I had a meltdown. More of a poutdown. Not that I expected to find a viewing spot at this late hour; I was more mad at DH because I thought he was being selfish for wanting to eat.....remember, I was not able to think clearly. :guilty: I really didn't see the point in looking for a viewing spot, so I announced that we were leaving and off I went towards BC. DH tried to get me to stop and he found a semi obstructed spot near the boats, but I was having none of it. I was pretty fired up, enough so that I power walked all the way back to BC. Not one of my finer moments, that's for sure. :( And now there are two things I may never experience at Disney: the Special Holiday Edition of Illuminations and the Butter Griddled Pound cake from LTT.

Lesson learned for the day: don't forget to drink lots and lots of water!

Oh S'Latie what a terrible end to the day, mental note drink, drink, drink

DH just told me it was neither dehydration, nor heat stroke, nor mad cow. His exact words, "it was just your normal crankiness." Hmmph.

I truly hate the busses and the boats are not much better:mad:
Im glad you at least got to enjoy your milkshakes.
Its funny how in WDW I forget to eat.Maybe I should move there:rotfl2:
Slate we all have days like that one(well maybe not all of us but I certainly do):rotfl2:
Remember to drink:thumbsup2 got it:rotfl:

I feel like all we do is eat when we are there, but drink not so much. I KNOW I have to fix that come august.

Been there, done that sweetie. Both the meltdown AND the dehydration. Lack of water + WDW + crowds = not gud.

Oh, and ITA about the udon noodles - I love, love the broth, but the noodles always skeeve me out a bit. I truly have no idea why. :confused3

I don't know what time we arrived back at the room; maybe 10? Anyhow, I decided it would be wise to get a head start on that payroll. DH get out his laptop and sets me up. I went to the website I use to take control of my work computer, then oh snap! See, here's something I really bad for doing: I have a bad habit of not remembering passwords and not writing them down. They are saved on my home computer; why do I need to occupy precious real estate in my head? Problem is, is that I am not using my home computer. :sad2: I typed in what I thought was it, but then remembered having to reset it because of the last time I logged in from another computer and couldn't remember the password. :upsidedow Oh carp! I'm in deep doo doo now. I tried calling customer service and sent an email. But really, 10PM on a Sunday of a holiday weekend; like I was gonna get any help! Since there was nothing more to be done, I hit the hay for a good rest as visions of log in screens and passwords danced in my head.

The next morning we were up bright and early....6:30AM-ish, and surprisingly very perky. We had inquired about openings at Cape May the day before as we passed through from the pool (on the way to the correct set of elevators:rolleyes: ). They were booked solid, but if we arrived at 7:00AM, they could seat us. So, we did and they did! :yay: Man, it was such a nice feeling to be able to get up, throw on some clothes, and make a short walk to a sit down rest. No mile walk to the bus, bus to monorail, walk another mile, forget where we are going, and then wait for an hour. Nope, this is the life! (and the beginning to an absolutely perfect day!) So, upon arriving at Cape May, we were promptly seated. Our waitress quickly arrived and soon we were filling our bellies with yummy food.....except....where is the HECK are the Krispy Kremes? Oh well, I'll just fill my belly with something equally yummy in my book: fresh pineapple! Normally one would not consider these two items to be substitutes, but for me they are! BTW, Fab 4, all the Poly pineapples were sent over to Beach Club. ;) Anyhow, Cape May was surprisingly good. The characters were great, we discovered the Goofy is a lefty, my daughter announced that I have a crush on Goofy, and our waitress was very attentive. I'm not sure if it was worth the holiday surcharge, but I would go there again if in the area.

We exited Cape May to find the lobby mobbed with sleepy hungry guests awaiting their magically moment in the buffet line. We waddled back to the room (again using the correct elevators) and I barked out orders and focused back on payroll. By this time, my office was open and luckily this type business warranted being open on New Year's Eve. I called up and told one of the sales girls what I needed. She asked if I was working from home? (They left before I did on Friday, so I didn't have a chance to tell them) I said no, I'm in WDW and just had breakfast with Goofy. To which the reply was, "you Biotch!" Anyhow, she logged on my computer, I walked her through resetting the password and I was on my merry payroll way. All I had to do was just make sure no one missed any punches, and deduct lunch for the delivery guys, but it still takes 2+ hours. I work away and make sure the troops are carrying out my orders in a timely fashion. About 10:55, everyone is showered, the car is loaded, I just approved the payroll, and it is time to head to SSR. But, I haven't showered. Ewww! :scared:

I think if I was your co-worker I might have called you something similar..or worse;)

We have eaten at Cape May for dinner, but not for breakfast. Will have to put onto the to do list.

So, why are we going to SSR? Tour?popcorn::
