We still had 1 TS and a few CS cedits left, so we went to Artist Palette for some yummy pizzas then we joined DH at whatever the TS place is at SSR. He just had a burger, onion rings, and cheesecake. Ahh the last days of the
DDP with the tip and app included. I miss that! Anyhow, since I was not eating, I could use my senses to people watch and spyed an interesting group at the next table. It was quite a collection of Disney higher ups; a New Year's Day gathering of sorts. Now if these Loud Children would stop talking, I could eaves drop in peace.

I didn't get every word, but I did hear lots of important stuff....like:
"well, we sure have sold lots of these new plans"
"that one is dumb, what do you get, a bottle of wine?"
and then it got juicy
"so what are they saying on the DIS?"
Huh? Come again?
quiet down kids, mama needs to be rude.
"yeah, those DISers really get bent out of shape"
"one will post about abusing the free refills then there will be 10 pages of people defending saying we are going to remove the free refills"
lots of laughter followed by
"like that will even happen"
Then just random crap about menus and something they ate somewhere. Blah blah blah.
I wanted, soooooo bad, to toss a LGMH on their table and give them an earful....straight from the mouth of Slate....about this new plan of theirs....and my thoughts on Disney getting too big for their britches....and lack of AP discounts....and this fooling with the DDP was going to bite them in the butt.....but I didn't. I remained calm (on the outside). But my thoughts on the many changes for 2008 are for another thread. For this is about happy thoughts.
Afterwards, we went to the pool to let the Loud Children have one last swim. I could feel the winds of change blowing; a cold front was coming; coming just as we were leaving.

But for now, it was still 80 degrees. I pleaded with DH to go to a water park, just for a few hours, but he was having none of it. Big Meanie! He remained strong, and good thing. I think I drug my feet as long as I could and at 3:02 give or take, we were in the van, heading North....or whatever direction got us out of SSR.
I4 was quite dead....really dead....skeeery dead. Take a look at my siggie. One would think that a proper sports fan such as myself, would have every bowl locale and time committed to memory, right? Nope, my team was out, I could've cared less. Little did I know, that just over the trees, errr, tall buildings, there was a little game going on.....sorry V, it was a big 'un and we just barely escaped town before the end of the game. SCORE many many points for DH for being a big meanie.

If you recall, I had to pick up my mom in about 14 hours for her surgery. An hour later and we would have been stuck in the mother of all traffic jams, and I would have been angry. I love my DH, he is very wise!
With little sleep the night before, I was able to easily fall asleep. I awoke, more like jolted by pokes of the devils pitchfork as we crossed the state line into Georgia. Goodbye Florida.

And in those 3 hours, the temp had dropped 40 degrees, count em 40 degrees.

Dag blast it! We stopped at McDonalds for supper and met a family from NY who just left WDW as well. They did not have fun because it was crowded. Well, duh, did you do any research?

One isn't enough
Not much more exciting. My moms surgery went well, but her recovery was slow. She is doing fine now!
Well, that's it, I completed a TR. I have set the bar pretty high now.
