:woohoo: for weeks of a countdown!! So exciting!!

And keep up the good work with WW! :thumbsup2 Just keep practicing the basics and incorporate some exercise in (that could be something to do with all your free time you might have!) then you'll do great!

I have been exercising about an hour a day almost everyday. I'm worried about how I can do anything this week with Caitlin being on April vacation. Usually I go for a walk/jog right after she gets on the bus in the morning. I have been trying to take her to the boardwalk on our local beach to walk but she claims it's boring and doesn't want to go.

I know, I know.... I have all of my days done except one. On our AK I would like to eat at AKL at some point during the day.

We could do Boma for breakfast (we ate here last year and really enjoyed it)
or we could eat at Kona or maybe WCC for breakfast.

Maybe do Boma or Sanaa for dinner?
I am really leaning towards Boma or Sanaa for dinner but I can't decide. DH said he would go to either and just suffer through them, but I just can't pick.

What do you guys think?
Breakfast-
Kona, WCC, Boma?
Dinner
Sanaa or Boma?

:banana::banana::banana:29 days (When I count it out on the actual calendar it is 30 so my 29 day ticker must think the way you do)

I told Caitlin about all of the Pixar characters we might see. She got very excited about seeing them.:yay:

I couldn't believe a CRT time came up. I had to do a double take and make sure I didn't type in Captain's Grill or something. I had 'Ohana scheduled that morning and couldn't find a replacement day for that but later that night one opened up. It is crazy how ADRs open up during the day. You could check 5 times a day and there will be different things that pop up. Not that I checked 5 times a day or anything:rolleyes1

Is your DH going to be able to make it? I keep telling my DH he can stay home if wants but he keeps saying no. He doesn't think I will be able to handle Caitlin for 9 days since she has a bit of an issue following any direction I give her.

I love UP too! I can't want to see them. I was so excited that they were in DHS in the animation building last year and then right before our trip they got replaced with Lotso. I never thought I would be able to see them.

I can't believe our trips are getting so close:banana:
I literally LOL bcuz that sounds JUST like Katie - unable to listen to anything I tell her. She is on notice for WDW. DH and I have told her very clearly that we will use the kids club or in room babysitting and go to the park without her if she acts up! And WE WILL!

UP is a very good movie, but I love Ratatouille. It is one of my favorites. It is on ABC family almost once a month, I hope you are able to catch it sometime.

DH says he doesn't want to go but I have given him every opportunity to stay home. A few years ago I took Caitlin to Six Flags for the day without him and he was mad that he missed it. I can't imagine he would really want to miss his daughter being in Disney when she's 6. It won't be the same when we go back in a few years.

I don't think we will make it to any morning EMH, but I will try to make at least one or two evening ones. I am probably going to head to MK for an evening by myself since DH and DD don't really like MK.
. Lol this is how we got dh to go to the beach with us...he didn'twant to miss Katie's first trip. Luckily he liked it after not having gone for about 25 years.

Nothing really interesting to report except -

My ticker now says WEEKS! No more months of waiting for me.:banana::banana::banana:

I have tons of packing and Disney shopping and organizing to do but somehow I have no days at work in the beginning of May. The days I was asked to work were the two 4-12 shifts the two nights we left so I passed. I head right back to work when we get back thankfully.

Right now I am working April 30th and don't have to be back until May 26:confused3 I am trying to leave some things to do otherwise I'll just get bored and blow my diet.

WW Weigh In

Week 3:rolleyes1 I skipped this weigh in. I had an awful week and decided at the end of this week to just use the old WW system until our trip. Maybe the new system works but there is too much of a learning curve for me and I don't have the time to be messing around.

Week 4
-1.2 lbs :yay:

4 weeks left and about 5 lbs to meet my Disney goal. Since I haven't really been losing more than a lb. a week it will be tough.

Have a great weekend everyone!
sounds like you are doing well on the ww. Down is good!!

Doncha love those small numbers!!

i would say Kona for breakfast and Boma for dinner, but only because that's what we're doing!! :lmao: But I've heard great things about Sanaa, so it depends on how adventurous you (and your DH) want to be. I haven't had any so I'm probably the wrong person to ask.

Also, as far as your lack of exercise since Caitlin will be home, you could do one of a few things. 1.) Get up extra early to workout while DH is still home and Caitlin might still be asleep; 2.) Tell Caitlin that it's important to stay physically fit and healthy, and exercise is an important part of your lifestyle. And if she's "bored" on the walks you guys could always talk Disney stuff! 3.) Do some workout stuff at home while Caitlin is there: aerobic videos, crunches, push-ups (girl kind), squats, etc. Jumping rope is a great activity, too! Try jumping for just 30 seconds straight, it's really hard!!

Good luck!!

Hooray for the week countdown!!:yay::woohoo:

I vote for Kona breakfast and/or Sanaa! I haven't tried Sanaa but I want to because I have heard good things...so that influenced my vote!!:rolleyes1

We've never done Kona, but I would pick that for breakfast and one of the other two for dinner. I've ready pros/cons for Boma's dinner, but have read nothing but stellar reviews for Saana. I hated WCC for dinner and could not in good conscience recommend it for any meal (sorry to any WCC lovers).

Not gonna lie--I've never been to ANY of those places, so I'm no help!
However, I wanted to say GREAT JOB with the weight loss!

We LOVE LOVE LOVE Sanaa for dinner! :lovestruc I can't wait to go back this year. The scallop appetizer is THE BEST. EVER. This was one of my ADR's that I was not willing to part with, no matter what for this trip (and I had to part with quite a few favs to make room for new places we wanted to try!) And for what it's worth, we prefer Boma at breakfast not dinner. One of the reasons is the juice they serve at breakfast...so yummy. I think they call it jungle juice or frunch. Can't remember.

Good luck picking!

Well, at least your scale...and countdown calendar...is moving in the right direction! :thumbsup2

I would think given what you've said about your DH and DD's food preferences, that you might be better off at Boma, because there are at least a handful of things that aren't overly ethnic. Sanaa's menu looks a lot like a standard menu at an Indian restaurant. Personally, I LOVE Indian food, but not everyone does.

Enjoy your week home with your daughter. Its nice being off. I love April vacation! And I'm so happy its getting warmer and there are buds on the trees. Its beautiful out. :goodvibes

I have been pretty cranky since the weekend and last night I decided it was probably b/c I haven't gotten much sleep since the weekend. I figured I just needed a good nights sleep. DH put Caitlin to be a little after 8 and I must have been asleep before he finished tucking her in. So this morning at 3:45 I wake up and just felt completely awake. I stayed in bed a bit and then moved to the couch to try to fall back asleep. By 4:30 I gave up and figured I'd catch up on the Dis. So much for sleeping in. :confused3

I literally LOL bcuz that sounds JUST like Katie - unable to listen to anything I tell her. She is on notice for WDW. DH and I have told her very clearly that we will use the kids club or in room babysitting and go to the park without her if she acts up! And WE WILL!

I don't get why Caitlin listens to DH and then when I tell her to do something she says "You're not the boss of me, Daddy is":scared1: I've really been cracking down with the punishment when she doesn't listen lately, but I end up being the bad guy all the time. She has been getting a bit better the last few days, but we'll see how long that last.

I have to say I am a bit tired of WW this week. Since it is getting nicer out we seem to spend more time out of the house and my dinner plans have been getting messed up. It is so much easier to eat out when you are out all day. I really need to start planning better when I know we could be out all day.

Thanks for the excerise tips. I used to jog on the treadmill when she was home, but since I have started jogging outside I really hate the treadmill. I will try to get in some videos before she wakes up and maybe have her ride her bike while I jog outside.

You are right. I don't think I have ever seen a bad Sanaa view. I have seen a few people say it wasn't for them, but nothing about the service or food not being good. I really like that you can see the animals from the restaurant too.

Thanks, I've been a slacker this weekend. I did an overnight shift Sat. and it totally screwed up my schedule. :sad2:

Glad to hear you love Sanaa. I really want to try it, but Boma looks good too. Sanaa has a better time available though, so that might help me book it.

:thumbsup2I loved the juice at Boma.

I am hoping we don't have a lot of rain this week. Nothing is worse than having a kid home on vacation and being stuck in the house all day.

Do you have anything exciting planned for this week?

I think DH and DD might like Boma better, but I figure I have made so many choices for them . I really want to try Sanaa so that could be my 1 dinner I have for me. DH did see a video about it on Disney Insider and said he would go if I wanted.Caitlin will love seeing the animals but would like the Boma kids options better.

Hi Diane!

I hope you get some rest. Insomnia sucks. I did the same thing Sunday night. I woke up at 4am for no reason and was just awake. It kind of buggers up the rest of your day. Its hard to stay on the WW when you are tired too, I totally understand.

Isn't it funny how we all say our plans are now totally set only to change them again a few days later? LOL. I was done. Set. Not changing a thing. Then Kassidy says to me yesterday morning: "When are we eating at Cape May?" :scared1: Uhhh, we're not. At least we weren't until I found a 7:30am reservation on the 15th. It works out ok, because we're going to Epcot anyway and we can make rope drop, but now I have character breakfasts 4 out of 6 mornings. So much for not being tied to reservations all this trip, LOL.

Here are our ADR's, which I am NOT changing now. I'm done. I need to block the dining reservation page from my laptop.

Sun 15th: 7:30 am Cape May Breakfast
1:00pm Le Chefs Lunch

Mon 16th: 7:45am Ohana
8:00pm Paradisio 37

Tues 17th: 8:15am Tusker House
7:30pm Wishes Dessert Party

Wed 18th: 8:20am 1900 Park Fare
8:00pm Polynesian Luau

Thur 19th: 7:45pm La Hacienda de San Angel

Fri 20th: 11:30am Le Cellier lunch

We are doing Epcot on Sunday, (after being at DHS at rope drop to race to Toy Story Mania and ride it, since it is #1 on our list, and going to EMH at the Magic Kingdom Sunday night, so if you do EMH look out for us, we'll see you there! Monday is Blizzard Beach/Downtown Disney day, Tuesday is Animal Kingdom/Magic Kingdom day. Wednesday is Typhoon Lagoon. Thursday we have a 8:00am BBB ressie, but it's open to do whatever we want until dinner at Epcot. And Friday we will be at DHS at rope drop to ride Star Tours, then hop to Epcot for lunch.

At this point my husband is saying he can't go, and my Mom and brother who were going to join us aren't looking 100% either. I've told them all , "Oh well!", we're going without them. LOL

Hope your day is great!

Wow, you're getting close!!! I can't wait, I'm ready to go! :)

I am so ready to go. I need a vacation!

Darn, we had CMC and 'Ohana the same days and time but I had to switch them when I found the CRT breakfast. I had Park Fare booked too but I am thinking about dropping it. It will be OOP plus DH has never seen Alice in Wonderland or Mary Poppins, plus he hates the GF. Caitlin doesn't care either way and the replacement will be RFC in AK, which she might like better.

We'll be in EPCOT all of Sat. until we go to 'Ohana for dinner. Afterwards I will try to convince DH to go to EMH, but if not I bet Caitlin will come. I hope we run into you! Although it looks like the crowds this week are going to be much bigger than I excpected:scared1: so it might not be as easy as I thought.

Yeah, so much for no ADRs pinning us down. Oh well.

Bummer that your DH isn't going. Gives you a reason to go back though when he can go.

I am :yay::banana: with excitement for you! It is getting so close now! Your "final" plans are looking very good!!! :woohoo:

Congrats on getting closer to a final plan and being within "weeks" of your trip! How exciting!

I think you have a lot of great meals planned. I can't help on the Boma/Sanaa decision. I have been to Boma once back in 2005 and I thought it was OK. I haven't been to Sanaa, but I also can't stand Indian food so much of the menu turns me off. That said, the reviews are great.

have they changed the expected crowd levels? Guess I need to go check touring plans again.

Hope your sleeping gets back in order. I have been messed up too. I think the change in weather has something to do with it (plus growing Disney excitement!:rotfl2:)

:banana:It is getting so close. I have decided to tell Caitlin on Easter that we are going in 20? days. I want her to have some fun counting down. I can't wait to tell her on Sunday.

I've been keeping my eyes open for anything good that pops up on Tues. night. I think I would like sitting right at the window but don't know if that is worth maybe not liking the food. I like the lunch menu a bit better but I am not going to break up a day to get to AKL.

I don't think they have really changed the crowd levels but I know that both weekends we are there will be crazy. Pixar weekend and SWW . I hope the crowds are low during the week.

I have been waking up so early lately. Usually I can go back to sleep, but lately I have been jumping out of bed all excited that our trip is so close. I can't imagine what time I'll be jumping out of bed at Disney.

Diane, I think your final plans sound absolutely great. Your trip is getting closer and closer now. :goodvibes
