If FP+ does come back, how do you think they will go about reintroducing it?

They can bring it back tomorrow and I would be perfectly fine with it. I don't need any notice. I'm going soon and want it really badly. I have no problems getting fast passes day of in parks so just give the options as soon as you bring it back.

And whoever wrote they will probably wait till after the 4th, I personally think that is a complete slap in the face to the people going on that major holiday, when Disney KNOWS it's going to be massively crowded. They should be doing things to make our trips easier, not harder. That kind of move would make me wanna cancel the trip cause of that slap in the face for the thousands being spent there. If they WAITED a week or two after that, if actually ready, that would alienate me and many other people

I was the poster that said that (and it’s just a baseless theory). But this right here, is exactly why I don’t think Disney will offer ANY significant advance notice regarding this coming back. Because people will change their vacations if they know fastpass is returning the week after their trip is scheduled. Bringing this back requires as little advance notice as possible to avoid this problem.

But this is also why I don’t think they will bring back the system, if it is even ready to be brought back, until after the 4th. They have enough issues right now with bringing Disney back up to speed as a whole, let alone dealing with a huge influx of people around the 4th. Bringing back fastpass, and any tech issues that come with it, customer issues with it, platform overload, etc etc would be easier for Disney to deal with after the 4th and not before, despite anyone being pissed off about it. But at the end of the day, anyone with a planned trip right before fastpass returns (whenever it returns) will be pissed off they missed it by such a short time window. So Disney will deal with that regardless of when they bring it back, I would think.

and it is no longer a free system (potentially) but an add on extra charge
(like DL MaxPass). Then under the short term Bob "Paycheck"...I mean Chapek has been in charge the perks that made staying on Disney property special and worth the extra money that have been monetized are EMH , DME , and now possibly FP+ ! And let's not forget a couple of years ago when they started charging resort guests to pay a nightly fee for parking . It's like he doesn't want people to stay at their resorts anymore .

And yet those same resorts are largely sold out the rest of the year. How many people have stopped staying onsite because of parking fees? Some, not many.

People wanted MNSSHP to return. Disney rolled out Boo Bash—twice the cost, half the time, no parade or special fireworks. Lot of grumbling. Yet it sold out many nights in days.

There is zero reason for buffets not to return from a safety perspective, yet we are paying the same for limited family style platters. O’hana got “ruined” according to so many fans, but you still can’t book it 60 days out.

As for introducing chaos and causing website crashes, anyone remember the day park passes became available for the first time and we stayed up all night because CMs were giving inconsistent info on when you could book them? Then the hours and hours of millennium falcon “waiting to launch” screen? How about when they cancelled everyone’s ADRs for summer/fall 2020 trips and we all had to rebook at once?

Or how about when they dropped mask requirements virtually overnight leaving onsite guests in the dark until they showed up at the gates?

Anyone who thinks Disney will hesitate to roll out a paid FP option because it would negatively impact guest experience, take away something that guests really want to return, or cause chaos as guests scramble to adapt, just hasn’t been paying attention.

I don't know when FP+ is coming back. I have a feeling that Disney is going to start charging for FP. I have no information I just feel that's the way it's gonna be
