If Driving To Wdw Do You Still Use...

Wow - it looks about 50/50 maybe you should have done a poll, LOL?

We love the disney transportation and when I go alone with my dd's we use disney transporation exclusively with an occasional cab back from a resort dinner.

When dh joins us we usually have a rental car or have driven to WDW but we still use WDW transporation 90% of the time. We will drive to a resort for a meal or to the mini golf or dtd but that is about it. Even if we were to drive I would not drive to MK. You still have to go via TTC and use disney transportation anyway so IMHO disney transporation the entire trip makes more sense.

DH and I also like an adult beverage on our Epcot evenings and WDW transportation makes this possible. We don't overdue but neither of us will drive if we have even had one that evening so its a nice option to use the bus/monorail or boat.

Have fun
TJ

We drove to WDW last year and had the AAA Diamond Parking Pass! We could park closer than the bus stop at Epcot. It was also easier to drive to AK. The lot was just past the buses at MGM. We always use WDW buses for the MK. It was really nice to leave a park and walk straight to the car and get going. Even though it was hot the car cooled down quickly.

We usually park the car and use WDW transpo with the following exceptions:

any lengthy daytime shopping at DTD (not for just a one item shopping trip), so we don't have to lug things around.

last day - we really like being able to drive to AK, so we can just head straight to the car and hit the road.

It would be interesing to see a poll on this subject.

For everthing else, If you have small children and strollers, DRIVE.
Good Luck,
Joe

We drive to WDW and use the buses for all parks and DTD. We are on vacation, so not driving is part of it. To go to another resort we usually drive.

We drove, for the first time last year, loved having and using the car. We are AAA members and had the diamond parking pass and had great spots, granted we went in late august, a slower time. We are flying again this year and *disappointed* on not having a car. Trying to talk dh into renting a vehicle but he's not going for it. For us, having a car may have meant a few extra steps but the convenience was so worth it. We got right into the car, turned on the a/c, while car was cooling we got drinks from the cooler and relaxed. We always had a seat and just enjoyed it. For us, if driving, use the car.
