If a ride (jungle cruise) is closed for MNSSHP, does it close down promptly at 7 pm?

My brother mentioned to me yesterday that he really wanted to go on the Jungle Cruise.

We will only be in Disney for a long weekend, and so far the only MK time I had planned for us was during MNSSHP, with a possible extra couple hours on a Saturday night (park is open 'till 11 pm, but we are watching an 8 pm F! show that same evening...)

On the MNSSHP day, I had dinner reservations at Grand Floridian Cafe at 5 pm...I figured we would eat dinner then head over to MK (probably arriving some time between 6:30-7, depending on long dinner takes). I'd rather not have to RUSH through dinner, then RUSH straight through the gates of MK over to the Jungle Cruise, if they close promptly when the halloween party begins...
So I'm debating canceling the GFC ADRs and just doing a counter service in the park for dinner...

Anyone know if rides/attractions not open during the party close promptly at 7 pm, or do they stay open a little longer?

If we weren't able to go on Jungle Cruise during that evening of MNSSHP, Jungle Cruise should be open 'till 11 pm the following night, as that is the "regular hours" for MK, correct?

Thanks!

Anyone who is in line for a ride at closing time can ride that ride. So as long as you are in line for Jungle Cruise by 7:00, you should be fine.

Rides do sometimes have different operating hours than the park hours, but to the best of my recollection, Jungle Cruise closes with the park close.

I'm pretty sure that Jungle Cruise would close early. There is usually a trick or treating stand setup there and it seems to me it blocks the whole ride area and is open for business at 7:00. I'd say it would closer earlier then 7:00 that day.

They... close it?! :faint: That is one of my favourites... we'll have to make sure to ride it prior to 7 as well!

I just don't get that ride. Bores me and the kids. IF you get a snappy/funny guide it can be OK, but if you get a snoozer guide it is just plain a waste of park time IMO.

You can get into the MK with just your party ticket starting at 4pm (even though the party starts at 7pm). I would maybe drop the ADR and enter MK close to 4pm. Eat CS in the park- you will be able to do Jungle Cruise before 7pm.

Sorry to go off topic a bit, but is this the only ride that closes for the party?

I started a MNSSHP with the Jack Sparrow M&G last year so I was over between the JC & POTC by about 6:30 to get in line.... I have a vague memory that JC was already closed at that time. Don't hold me to it, though.

If it doesn't follow the normal park opening times, it will be noted in the times guide as one of the attractions that has separate operating hours.

Thanks! We'll be doing AK earlier in the day, so I'm not sure how fast we'll be making it over to MK in the afternoon--depends on if we want to see the 3:45 parade in AK mostly. :)

Hmmm, since we might want to see the 3:45 parade at AK the same day--I'm thinking about the earliest we'd be able to make it to MK will be around 5:00 pm or so...I wonder just how early they might close JC? Thanks for the info!

ha ha! I feel the same way! I was actually a little surprised when I talked to him yesterday and he mentioned it! But I am really trying to make this an AMAZING trip for him, so if he wants to ride JC, I'm going to do my best to see that he gets to! :)

Yes, it will close promptly at the stated time. Many people were stranded until the next morning on the Jungle Cruise Ride last year during the MNSSHP . Some of them were never found.

Thank goodness, we were the last boat that got back to civilization one evening! :rotfl2:

There was no line so we walked onto the JC just before 7:00 last year on a party night. By the time we returned to the dock the ride was closed. If you're in line by 7:00 they'll let you one, but it does close promptly.

Wow, I didn't realize some of the rides were closed.

Keep in mind that many people at the hard ticket parties are not there for the rides at all, but to do the special party-specific events. Who's going to sit through the Tiki Room when this is your one and only chance to meet Flynn Rider all year?!?

Attractions with operating hours that vary from the park's hours are actually not that unusual. These deviations will be noted on the times guide. Especially in less crowded times of the year, they often shut down stuff like CoP early. And you will see things like "The last safari of the day departs at...." at AK with a time posted that is prior to closing.
