We are considering an 11:00 am Monday ceremony either with a Memories package or at Paradise Cove. Our celebratory dinner is at Victoria and Albert's at 5:30.

What could we do to enjoy ourselves during those 5 hours. I thought it might be nice to hire a photographer to take photos around Disney property for the afternoon, just not in the parks.

We are looking for other suggestions as well.

Would you change your clothing for the dinner? There's so many things to do around Disney, and it seems like you'd have so much time.

You could take pics around the property for awhile, but you can also go horseback riding? Maybe rent a boat and have a little celebration lunch out on the lake? I know you can rent the yacht or something and have food. Maybe have a picnic around the fort wilderness? Head to Downtown Disney and maybe catch the Cirque De Soliel performance? The balloon ride they have? OR if you're like us (big kids at heart..lol) head over to the DisneyQuest and play a bunch of video games!!

There's so many things you can do!! We are coming in on Saturday afternoon, and plan to hang around the hotel for the night, since I have to be up at 3am the next morning for the Half Marathon. Then the wedding is at 3 and then we will be having dinner at 6. We won't have time to do anything in between, but if I did...I'd really look into the lunch/snack on the boat in the water. Nice and private for just the two of you?

Hope that helps!

I don't think you can do a Memories wedding on a week day. If you go with an Escape wedding on a week day, you could save the limo service for the time between the ceremony and dinner and go almost anywhere in the Orlando area for some fun or photos.

DFTW agreed to do a Memories wedding on a Monday for us.

We were looking for something that we could stay in our fancy shmancy wedding clothes. There is a lot to do at Disney...just not in formal attire.

In that case, the yacht idea would work. You could also take the balloon ride at DTD? There's also helicopter rides off property....

honestly, we had V&A after our reception and it is such a hectic day that we just went back to our room and relaxed. you get up SO early and are so excited..... i could have worn my dress there, but i was GLAD to get that huge thing off and change into another (white!) dress for dinner and spruce up for that.

have fun!

DH and I went to DTD in our wedding clothes and rode Characters in Flight! We lucked out that it was actually running. It was a lot of fun!

There are horse and carriage rides at POR; I'm not sure what time they start. That could be something to do, too.

+1 :thumbsup2

I also highly recommend a nap! :rotfl:

What about hiring your photographer for an hour extra and doing some photos with props like photoboth? thats what im thinking about doing - might be funny and get some great photos of guests!

Another vote for a nap! We napped. During our "break," I was so excited and went to my moms room and chatted with family, but then I decided I really needed to nap to make the evening. I got an hour nap and felt so refreshed! :goodvibes

I like your idea of hiring a photographer and doing a few things on property like Char in flight maybe take pictures at a few of the resorts or anywhere else you love. Then you have have a nice quiet lunch at a resort go to your rooms take a nap shower change and be refreshed for dinner.

Congratulations and have fun.
