Please can you help me I have never done disney on a birthday before and would like some ideas on what I can do and book for her to make it a 9th birthday she will never forget. (probably want more) She does have two big brothers on her trip also 17,13

If she likes princess you could take her to the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique. Also there are character meals and shows. Depending on when you are going there is also the option of P&P party, MNSSHP & the christmas party. Just a few ideas but you should check through the boards as there are many suggestions on various things to do. Good luck.

We celebrated DD's 7th birthday in December, here's a run down of the day I planned for her, which might help give you some ideas:

In the morning she went to BBB for a makeover which she absolutely loved and she looked lovely.

We then went to MK for lunch at Crystal Palace, we have been to the CP on each trip and love it but I have to say that we were very disappointed on this trip and sadly our server did absolutely nothing on her birthday visit, didn't wish her happy birthday or anything and when I asked about a cupcake I was given a very rude "we don't have any":sad2:

In the afternoon I had arranged a very special surprise through Gifts of a Lifetime for her, I can't put too much detail on here as they request that you don't spoil it for other potential clients but basically they left clues throughout the MK which DD had to follow which eventually led her to her birthday gift from Cinderella (a Pal Mickey and Tinkerbell earrings). Again, DD absolutely loved this and we all had a great time following her clues. She still believes her pressies were from Cinderella ;) If you would like more details PM me. The cost of this equated to her having a birthday party.

In the evening we went for dinner at 1900 Park Fare. This was a lovely dinner and the characters made a real fuss of the birthday girl, she spent loads of time chatting with Cinderella and Prince Charming and the Fairy Godmother. She was also given a birthday tiara, a lovely signed place mat which she got to keep and still uses at home and a cup cake even though we'd ordered a small birthday cake.

She had a really lovely birthday and we all had a really enjoyable day (not even our CP experience could spoil it) so much so that I had to promise our other daughter (14) that we would celebrate her 16th at WDW somehow or other!:scared1:

My DD is having her 12th Birthday at Disney this year. :yay: I did a search for girls birthdays and got some ideas. I'm letting DD plan her day. Breakfast at CP, Dinner at Mama Melrose, and Fantasmic are her choices. :cheer2: I am ordering a cake from GF Bakery with a castle top to surprise her. There are some great ideas on past post so again I recommend doing a search.:surfweb:

This past March we celebrated our 6 yr old's b-day in Disney and choose The Garden Grill in Epcot's Soarin' pavillion. Our waiter made such a fuss brought out a cake in addition to dessert (which was way to much but very much appreciated, since we left & were delayed 1 1/2 days due to the bad east coast snow storm, son spent his actual b-day in airport shutdowns!) Characters (Mickey, Chip & Dale, Goofey) really made the rounds and Goofy happened to be at our table when cake was brought out; so Goofy really played with our son and made it so special, I had tears. We LOVED the dinner food at Garden Grill and service was great! Have a wonderful time and enjoy, you never know what magic will happen at Disney!!!!

How lovely for her to be celebrating her birthday out there. My DD's are teens now, but if I had younger girls I would definitely book the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique for them

We celebrated my DD's 16 birthday out there in January, so if you'd like to read what we got up to, you can read it here http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=1335734

Mandy :)

thanks for the link, it will be my DH birthday when we go back so I guess I will have to start my planning

I am going the 4th Augst and her birthday is on the 9th August:dance3: :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2:

Just being in Disney will be magical enough especially if you get a birthday badge from reception. I would probably book a special meal to suit her age group.

Lovely part of the world you come from, best kept secret. All that beautiful countryside that surrounds the area.:)

Hi. For my DD 10th birthday a couple of years ago, we got in touch with Gifts of a Lifetime. They arranged a treasure hunt aroung MK, leaving clues from her favourite character Eeyore. The final clue lead her to her present a Eeyore PJ Case, with a card from Eeyore. She loved it.:) :)

thank you , it is nice being in the countryside, but no kids and my kids can get lonely at least they have school and Florida every year to look forward to lol
thanks for all the advice so far, will definitely get the birthday badge:cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2:

Here is my plan for my DD birthday trip in December..(she will be 8)

ALSO BBB (Hopefully new one in castle) first thing in AM

She get to pick park MK

(HOPEFULLY!) Lunch at CRT with cake!!!!!

Rest of day at MK

Dinner at Park Fare

Parade and Wishes at MK

I will make sure it is noted on all our ADR's about her birthday1 I can hardly wait. I will also tell the hotel, I have heard SOMETIMES they do something. I have also heard the restaurants USUALLY decorate the table and give signed cards and really make it special. I am really looking forward to the trip!! (219 days! ) Hope this helps!!:wizard:

Don't forget to get a Birthday badge for her to wear, they're free from any of the parks and maybe the hotels!
