Ideas for son's birthday?

This will be our first time to WDW and our last full day there will be my oldest DS's birthday. He will be 12. Any ideas what we could do? We thought about booking a Disney breakfast but unsure if we can book it from our hotel (Disney All Star Movies). Any ideas anyone?

Ask at the guest relations desk at the front of the hotel I'm sure the staff will be happy to help with your request or 'phone the CRO on 001 407 939 3463 and explain you would like to book (at your chosen restaurant), a table for however many people for which meal and they will be able to tell if they can book reservations for your party and give you a reservation number which you will need to give the CM on your arrival at the restaurant. Chef Mickeys is wonderful for a birthday breakfast and I know other people on the Disboards can recommend more places and more meal choices for a celebratory occassion. Good luck from Wifey.
PS the earlier you 'phone Disney reservations the better your chances of getting the restaurant ressies you want!!
They will ask which hotel you will be staying at and what dates you will be there
You can request a birthday cake and they may surprise him with something from his favourite Disney character Don't forget to get a birthday badge in the parks at guest relations desk near the main gates he'll get some more attention from ths CMs in the parks!!

Don't forget to pick up a birthday pin for him when entering the parks on his birthday

As Wifey said you can make reservations for meals from the UK I think up to 90 days in advance.

Don't forget to mention it at the desk when you check in. They left a card, signed photo of Minnie and a couple of balloons for DD in our room on the 'big 'day
