We are taking dd for her graduation from trip. We are just going 4 days in the parks. The other kids are 9 & 13.

If you are staying on site you can get an in room celebration delivered. You can get a congrats pin to wear at the front desk or at the park. You can mention it at meals to see if there may be a cupcake or something offered (not a guarantee though) or order a congrats cake for end of your meal.

If it were me personally I would find a graduation motif Mickey plush before we go and leave it on her pillow in the hotel for her to find.

They had some really cute graduation ears on our trip in May. Is she interested in doing a firework cruise or a dessert party?

hmmm need to be on a hunt for that Mickey plush

If she has been before what are her favorite things about the parks? Maybe trying to find something that she already likes and then splurging on enhancing that experience in some way (i.e. one of the dessert parties, etc.). If she's into shopping, maybe finding a way to spend some time at Disney Springs and let her pick out something special...or doing pick-a-pearl in Japan and getting a piece of jewelry made from the pearl. Sometimes these questions are difficult because we don't know a lot about your DD and I think the most special experiences are those that really take into consideration the person's likes and interests to make it special specifically to them!

you are right - it's hard for me too. Yes she's been many times before & wanted to go back for graduation. We did a pick a pearl from DTD years ago - don't have a clue where that pearl went - ha!
That's what I guess I want to hear about - special things that not everyone knows about that can be done @ WDW to make it a memorable time. We did the scavenger hunt about 6yrs back & had a blast - we'd do that again, but I'm afraid it would be the same script & now it may be a but too childish for her - if there was an adult version that would be fun.

She into animals? We loved the backstage tour at the AK.

I highly recommend the wishes fireworks cruise , I was lucky enough to find a one to share with 2 other couples (I think its 8 total allowed on the boat) so the price was reasonable for us, it was a fantastic way to see Wishes unlike any other way I have seen it, the captain of our boat gave us a great deal of history of the WDW area such as Discovery Island and River Country, we saw the electric water pageant prior to positioning in front of the MK to watch the fireworks. The music was piped in to enjoy and we were able to get some awesome pictures! PLUS there were all kinds of snacks, water and soda on board to enjoy :) It was a every enjoyable way to spend a few hours doing something that I haven't done before despite having been to WDW many times.

How exciting! OP had great ideas. A few more suggestions. pixiedust:

1. Definitely do In Room Celebration. They have one for graduation. Also, has Graduate Mickey Ears.

2. Special meal is a must. Does she have a favorite restaurant? Order cake for restaurant. Always say yes to cake. Their cakes are very tasty.

---- Chocolate Glass Slipper (CRT or 1900 Park Fare) or Personalized Glass Slipper (CRT Only) unless order through Disney Floral & Gifts, http://www.disneyfoodblog.com/2011/06/30/celebrate-with-a-chocolate-cinderella-slipper/

--- Did this for DD 5th birthday. They offered add-on like personalized glass slipper. Very nice. Sure they could add Graduation Mickey Ears. Recommend calling... http://www.disneyfoodblog.com/2012/...oyal-table-offers-her-royal-highness-package/

I assume this is a high school graduation based on the other kids ages? Considering it's that age where big changes in family dynamic happen, what about a mother and daughter spa day maybe timed to be just after tea at GF? A little pampering and bonding time before she's off to college or whatever her next life move is.

dad and the other kids can do their bonding thing at the same time elsewhere.

I'm not a big fan of over the top, "make it special" events... a trip to WDW is so very special without all the extras.

What I would do, though, is get her a Disney Alex and Ani bracelet as a memento of the trip. You can find them in the Jewelry store on Main Street, and probably other places too. It costs something like $30. And it's something she can wear at college or at work; she probably already has a collection.

You can find them from secondary vendors on Amazon.

This one would be more for you, but can she bring her graduation cap (you usually get to keep these but return the gown) into MK to wear while having a silhouette made? That would be a great remembrance and a tradition you could start for your other children. Imagine all 3 graduation silhouettes lined up on the wall.

I agree with previous poster. If you two can do something special together while the others do something else, I think it'll be a nice surprise.

NO, don't know Alex & Ani - will google them - but she does have Pandora - maybe those are around? That's a great idea 'cause there are some really cutes WDW ones @ my local store
