Ideas for adult only trip

So hubby and I are running away for a weeklong adult only trip for our 25th anniversary. We've been to Disney many many times but always with the kids except for that one time we were crazy enough to drive 24 hours to see Wishes one last time on its last weekend but anyways.....

We are looking for fun, unique things to do. It doesn't have to be expensive or exclusive, just maybe the overlooked things. I've started a list but we are open to suggestions -

1. Ride Main Street Vehicles
2. Dessert party
3. Caring for giants tour
4. Trader Sam's
5. Cirque Drawn to Life

Sounds like so much fun! Congratulations on 25 years. Here are a few things my family (all adults) have done.

Sangria University at Coronado
Drinking and snacking around World Showcase
A skyliner or monorail bar crawl
Mini golf
Keys to the Kingdom tour
Go to Disney Springs late and have a drink/listen to music.


We did the caring for giants tour last January and loved it. We also did Drawn to Life. Highly recommend both.

Tours : Keys to the Kingdom , there’s a night time safari tour at Kidani that’s cool - Starlight Safari

Activities- Mini Golf, Carriage Ride, Free Water park on arrival day

Dining: Jiko, Hoop Dee Do, Geyser Point

I'd second the Starlight Safari. Also to add to dining, dinner at Topolino's Terrace while out doing a skyline crawl - maybe even time it so you can see fireworks.

I would do the dessert party, maybe a Capture your Moment photo session for your 25th. We did a Photo session last year for our 50th, the pictures were fantastic! Congrats on your 25 years!!!

Some things that come to mind:

- Victoria & Albert's (or some other dining experience you wouldn't do if your kids were tagging along)
- Special Photoshoot
- Premier Pass at your favorite park
- couples massage at one of the on-property spas

We celebrated our 40th last spring. First time no kids. I decreed that in the center of every bridge we crossed we would kiss. Fun!
We had fun doing the food and garden scavenger hunt
Sitting at Nomad as long as we wanted several times
2 Old fashioneds apiece at Brown derby
Appetizer crawl Disney springs
Closing down Pandora by riding FoP last minute
Stalking a table at Casey’s to watch fireworks with corn dog nuggets
Lingering drink in Victoria Lounge followed by lingering dinner at Jiko

We did the Savor the Savannah at DAK and it was wonderful. Aside from the very cool behind-the-scenes safari tour, the food and wine were excellent.

How about a spa experience at Grand Floridian? I've always thought about booking the foot & leg massage for mid-trip

Or a trail ride at Fort Wilderness?

I saw this a few months ago and me and a couple of friends are thinking of going this spring to celebration our birthdays -

Sangria University at Coronado Springs.

Here's the description - Led by our professionals, this afternoon course will discuss the history of sangria and reveal the recipes used to make the 4 in-house varieties served at Three Bridges Bar and Grill. The lesson is followed by a tasting of the 4 sangria offerings and will be accompanied by a light appetizer.

Best of all, you’ll have the opportunity to make your own glass of sangria from a selection of fresh fruits and base spirits!

Jellyrolls! Have some drinks and popcorn, sing along, people-watch, and be entertained. Those guys can really play!

Pro-tip: when leaving, if you are not staying in a Boardwalk area resort, go out to the Boardwalk bus stop. Any time I've done this there has been a bus out there. The driver will ask you what resort, and drive you straight there. I guess they do this so that they won't have people leaving bars at 2:00 AM wandering the property. They won't even take a tip for it!

Kudos to the OP on this thread. My wife & I will also be doing an adults only trip the beginning of May and are just beginning the planning on what we can do differently on our own. Hey! I answered your DM, but I thougth I'd post here for anyone else wondering. It's tapas-style, multiple smaller dishes. Things like stew/curry, shrimp, meats and cheeses and breads/crackers. There was also a dessert selection. It was a light meal, but we were not hungry afterwards.

Just a heads up that it was recently announced that Jellyrolls is closing in Spring 2025. Hoping it is relocating but no additional details have been announced.

There are hours published through April 2025 but this could change.

I agree completely with Jellyrolls. May want to consider footie golf as something active and different to do. I forget which of the courses has been modified for that but it is a lot of fun.

For our 25th we booked Tony's in MK for around 1:00 and requested an outside table so we could catch the parade. The secret here is to get some appetizers and keep the bottles of wine or cocktails flowing so you can stay there as long as you want. It's very relaxing and we now do this at the start of every trip where we are without the kids. Only downside is that MK is not a park you want ot be buzzed in, at least not at our age, so we go back to our room and nap before returning later.

Also, if you will be there when an MK After Hours party is taking place, and assuming you never did one before, I highly recommend that. They aren't cheap but watching Enchantment from anywhere you want in the hub without waiting an hour in a spot is something special whether you like that show or not. Plus many rides are walk-on the whole event and you can ride pretty much everything and see the fireworks no problem. It's a great vibe where you can enjoy each other's company and have a lot of fun together with no planning whatsoever.
