Ice cream social bday ?

We are going to do the ice cream social at Epcot for my daughters 4th bday. All she can talk about is blowing out the candles on her cake and who is going to make her cake. She knows it's not going to be Minnie because she said her hands are too big. LOL I haven't made priority seating yet. (I know I should have - we go in 2 weeks) Will they bring a cupcake out if I tell them it's her birthday when we get there or should I call for Priority seating and tell them?

We celebrated my 2 DS's 4th & 7th birthdays at the Garden Grille Ice Cream Social last March. It's hard to remember for sure, but I just took a look at my pictures, and I believe they put a birthday candle in the regular ice cream cone sundae. I know that they did not bring out an additional cupcake or anything. We did have all of the characters at our table at once while we sang Happy Birthday, but that might have bee sort of special because they weren't very busy. Mickey sat down and colored with us for a while and also fed both boys a bite of their ice cream. The characters are Mickey, Pluto, Chip, & Dale. I've been several times and the characters have always been the same.

I believe I mentioned the birthdays when I made the PS as well as when we checked in at the restaurant. It's a lot of fun and one of the PS that we always do each trip.

We just showed up one rainy evening last May. My son was plastered with 4 birthday buttons. He'd been wearing them all week. When we asked about eating at the Garden Grill, they said that they had tables. Yippee! Then, the CM noticed my son's buttons. She asked if we were celebrating a birthday. Of course, we said yes. They fixed up a small cake and brought it to the table. They didn't even know that we were coming! So, PS may not be necessary if you come at a weird time.

For the Ice Cream Social you <i>must</i> make your PS as soon as possible!!! Numbers for the event are strictly limited, regardless to how busy the rest of the restaurant is and is a pretty popular event these days.

Thanks everybody!

I was able to make priority seating for the ice cream social on my daughters birthday. I'm really looking forward to it. I'm still going to surprise the family. It's hard keeping a secret though, isn't it.
