Ibotta is an app that allows you select an offer (usually short tasks) on an item and complete the offer. Once you have completed the offer, a total is seen. The total is how much cash you will earn. The next step is to redeem the offer by shopping. However, the offers do expire and there are only a limited number of stores at which you can redeem. Once you are done with your purchase, snap a pic of your receipt and scan the barcode on the items. Voila, cash earned!

I was recently referred to Ibotta by a friend. She knows that I'm trying to earn money and save it in every way possible. She uses it when she shops and has earned cash. I haven't tried it out yet.

I was wondering if anyone else has used the app? If you have, I would like to know your experience with it. I'm wary on things like this.

I started using it a few months ago. I think I've earned around $12. My biggest complaint is that whenever I have a long receipt, it seems like I can never get the receipt to go in the first time I try to submit it, and then I have to take the pictures all over again. I've had a few issues with that, and with products not tallying right, and every time I've contacted them, they've been able to fix the issue very quickly, which is nice.

Savingstar is another one like that, except you link up your store rewards cards to the account. I find that to be much easier than Ibotta, and I've earned close to $100 with that, which I have cashed out.

I haven't cashed out my Ibotta earnings yet though.

I use this app have been for awhile now. I think total I've gotten about $20 out of the app. It's pretty hit or miss as far as if it's worth it. Right now there are a lot of products I don't use. The money goes straight to your paypal and I've never had any issues claiming or using it. No fees or anything are taken out. You have to have $5 in order to transfer and that can take some time. Just be careful to make sure you check the app before shopping, the offers are always changing, and that you see if there is a size requirement. I have used coupons before with the products I've claimed without issue.

I use this app regularly. Always check the product descriptions and sizes. They had Coke once but it wasn't for Coke Zero and I bought Coke Zero. :( Check the bonuses, I've earned most of my money in extras. One thing I found out if you know you will buy a product, make sure you click the buttons for it (for the facebook twitter survey etc.. ) and then when you are ready to buy it will be completed. I didn't do that once with the elmers glue sticks during back to school and when I went to do all that and redeem it, it was gone. So I check everyday and complete the requirements, then I buy when I am ready before the expiration. I think I have $50 now.

I have used it, and withdrew my money. They send it very quickly to your paypal account, however, for me it seems like it takes a very long time to get to the $5 minimum to withdraw because I don't purchase many of the items they pay for.
