I won a Disney gift card, have any of you ever?

I got so much flack for trying to have this conversation on the boards...! It IS a concern, as amazing as our trip was too! The castle suite for a night of course more than made up for anything - if I had won just that night and paid all the same taxes it would have been well worth it! We still have the second set of park tickets that we are going to use this September... we won four but it was just my husband and I went on the trip.

I think it is a good point to make about taxes. My DH and I could afford that, but there are some people who can't and it slams them when it becomes tax time. I forgot, we also got 4 park passes, but we had APs so we were able to pass them along.

Hi I was called this morning from a local radio station to be told that I won a Disney gift card from one of there online contests and it really put a smile on my face since I never win anything. So it got me to thinking if anyone here on the DIS has ever won any gift cards or trip from contests. So have any of you won any thing like this and if you did congrats

Congrats!! I won a 25 dollar disney gift card after having my email selected for a podcast. I also won a 250 visa egift card from a swagbucks sweepstakes, which I used to buy disney cards for a trip. It feels so great when you get extra pixie dust for a trip!!

I never win anything, but it must have been because my luck was building up for last year when I won 3 nights at The Disneyland Hotel & four 3 day Disneyland park hopper tickets. We had to pay for our plane tickets from the East Coast, our food, and 2 extra hotel nights but it was worth it

I've never won anything Disney related, but I won a pair of San Francisco Giants (baseball) tickets last year, and i also won a pair of Brad Paisley tickets 2 years ago.

I won the Jump with Thomas (the train) Sweepstakes this fall. The grand prize was a trip for 4 to NYC with tickets to the Macy's parade. It was amazing.

On the disney front, last summer I was a runner up in the BFG sweepstakes. For about 10 min I thought I won the ABD trip to England. In fact, I won a $50 fandango gift card.... which didn't work!

Many years ago, when ToT was new at DL, I won two separate sets of 4 packs of parkhoppets on the radio.

I won four tickets to Disneyland several years ago. I didn't even know I had entered a contest. Our cable company was running some kind of promotion where if you signed up for a new service or something you were automatically entered. I didn't even know until the tickets showed up at my door. I only lived half an hour from Disneyland at the time, so it was great.
