I wish WDW still had...

There are SO many things I miss about "vintage" WDW! But, my top 10 - in no particular order - are:

1. Horizons (the smell of oranges was the BEST!)
2. El Rio del Tiempo
3. "Jolly Holidays" dinner show
4. Carousel of Progress (Now is the time...now is the best time version)
5. Le Cellier - the buffeteria (Their tourtiere was so delicious)
6. King Stefan's Banquet Hall
7. Diamond Horseshoe
8. Mr. Toad's Wild Ride
9. Pompano Grill @ Disney's Village Resort
10. Discovery Island

Good food.

This is the thing I miss most. I miss the days, when the non-signature restaurants were as good as the current signatures.

The following are my list of missing adventures at WDW:

7. World of Motion
9. Horizons
16. Breakfast at Tony's and the Land Grill
17. Jolly Holiday Show

These! It's a shame they cut out so many of the special, Christmas events. I also think WDW desperately needs more breakfast options in the park.

-the character meal at LTT (they were just so cute in their Colonial outfits)

LTT was a great place to eat prior to MNSSHP & MVMCP for the characters. We've never liked the food, so we went solely for the atmosphere on party nights.

Definitely the original Journey Into Imagination with Figment. Also always enjoyed Cranium Command.

I miss the original Figment also.

I miss Mr. Toad's Wild Ride and Snow White's Scary Adventure. Please please don't ever get rid of Peter Pan's Flight.

- Spectromagic
- Cranium Command
- Body Wars
- Characters that used to just wander around

No crowds!! I miss the no crowds of the 80's oh and
Journey into imagination
Imageworks
Horizons
World of motion
I guess I should just say EPCOT Center of the 80's

My #1 is Spectro!! There are so many but after that in no particular order and just to name a few

Lights of Winter
Horizons
Original Figment
Tapestry of Nations/Dreams
Mr. Toads

Non-disco Yeti on Expedition Everest
Higher quality food offerings (Pre-Disney Dining Plan)
Mr. Toad's Wild Ride
Plaza Swan Boats
Low crowds
Aunt Polly's on Tom Sawyer Island
Monorails running during park operating hours (including Extra Magic Hours)

The bean counters staying out of Disney Magic, Food, fast passes... ... ...:thumbsup2

The Extraterrorestrial alien encounter!

I remember I was wearing Eeyore ears on my first time going on, and I thought the alien would see me and focus on me with them on. So quickly took them off. Loved it so much!!

Skyway
The Walt Disney Story
Magic Shop

Mr Toads Wild Ride
20,000 Leagues under the sea
Original Figment
Body Wars & The Wonders of Life Pavilion
The original Backlot tour & Working Film areas

A REAL 1 or 2 crowd week.....oh, and regular FP and walk up TS.

I miss Horizons, the old Contemporary family fun center, and the original Spaceship Earth with Tomorrow's Child. I also miss the original version of the Imagination pavillion at Epcot with Dreamfinder and Figment and the full Dreamworks playground.

Agreed, so sad to see PUSH go!

WHAT? PUSH is gone??? Oh, so sad! :faint: We would hang out and just wait for him. Oh, I am so going to have a hard time telling this one to my family!

OP - I have one heading off to college this fall, too.

Dinner at Akershus without princesses
A few of the old Ice Station Cool flavors
The True Colors preshow before Honey I Shrunk the Audience
Everything in Wonders of Life
The old downward portion of Spaceship Earth
The Epcot marching band
Lights of Winter
Horizons
World of Motion

I'll just stop with Epcot.

Totally agree with most postings! While reading this thread, I kept thinking... Oh, yeah. I remember that. Too bad it's gone. Sigh.

My list (in no order):
PUSH (obviously!)
The Magic Shop in DTD
Snow White Adventure
low crowds & general kindness of other guests at WDW
The MVMCP complimentary picture
Goofy's Night before Christmas Show
Seems like there used to be more Christmas decorations
Figment
the mickey head butter
a wide variety of GOOD pins on CM lanyards!!!
the cars parade at HS
When MGM/HS was a working studio

As with most things in life, I wish time stood still in 1990. But what comes to mind is...
1. Mr. Toad
2. Mickey shaped butter
3. Being able to stay at the Polynesian for around 200.00 per night.
4. Being able to have a walk-up at Ohana @ 5:00 pm.
