most hideous things i've ever seen. won't wear them. along with denim bermuda shorts (long jean shorts blech... >____________________________< ) need i say more? the world of fashion just gets stranger every day.

Thought I found a really pretty skirt today, until I picked it up - NO!!! Gauchos!!! I spent about a year in Jr High looking like I was 2 feet tall wearing those things. Short and W-I-D-E...no thanks, been there, done that, donated the evidence to Goodwill years ago!

Ack!!!! Run screaming from the gauchos. I had several pairs back in the 70's and they were the dopiest looking things on a short, pencil thin kid.

I agree. Just because the designers decide to make clothes and tell people they look "sexy" doesn't mean they actually do. Come on people, remember stirrup pants and long, baggy shirts? Did anyone actually look good in those?

oooh, what about calf-length leggings and short skirts a la 1985? I saw those EVERYWHERE this past weekend!

I love love LOVED that oufit when I was a kid. Heck, I would love it now, as skirts are the only thing I look decent in. I just don't think I could pull it off on the fashion front. It's one of those things, like most "new" fashions that come along.... that I would feel like people would be staring think I was stuck in the 80's when I was actually being fashionable (for once!)!

I'm not really a "skinny person", but I think physically I could pull it off with the right top. It suits me alright.... I just think I would feel like a goof! I mean, I saw gauchos everywhere and didn't know they were "back", I thought they were new So I wouldn't think twice about seeing someone in them...

But this outfit I wore not that long ago! I'm only 22 and it's "back"?! That's why I could see people thinking I was just STILL wearing it

Gauchos are OK as long as they aren't super-low-riders with muffin tops on display.

Knickers have to be on the horizon...along with those sleeveless jumpers.

All I have to say to you younger ladies who are wearing them--your future children are going to have a hey day with the photos of you wearing gauchos. Gauchos were seriously ugly the first time around and even worse the second time--you'd think we'd have learned our lesson!

You really should re-consider! Theyre fabulously comfy - Gaucho's, Crocs, and a comfy t-shirt??? Thats a Disney touring ensamble if I ever did hear one!
