T-Rex. We did not like the food and the place was total chaos. It was so loud we couldn't hear our waiter or have a conversation without shouting. It is beautifully themed but never again!.

Beaches & Cream, although I am sure not many will agree with me here, lol! I got sick with either food poisoning or some type of bug after eating there. Just can't go back after that, no matter how good everyone says it is!

Although we didn't get food poisoning (thank god) we were disappointed with Beaches & Cream. I don't know if I had read too many stellar reviews and my expectations were too high or if things have changed, but our burgers and fries were certainly not anything more than "okay". It was food and we were hungry, but won't return except for ice cream I don't think. I won't say NEVER, but one restaurant none of us want to see for a long time is San Angel Inn. My DDs were looking forward to eating here because of the atmosphere, but nothing was good here The chips & salsa, entrees, margaritas, and even service were all pretty disappointing. Their cooking technique here seems to be when in doubt add spice to the point where I felt really ill after eating about 1/3 of my meal and margarita( yes, this was spicy, too!). I like spicy food, but not when that is the only flavor the food has. My DDs had the cheese quesadillas and Chipotle puts these to shame. Packaged tortillas microwaved with some cheese served with canned green beans. It was so dark we might has well have been sitting in a cave. Oh well. It's a different country for us next year!

My family and I have a three strikes in a row policy when it comes to restaurants at Disney. The garden grill almost went on the list but they redeemed themselves before the third strike. Surprisingly Ohana is on the list now. We had three bad meals in a row. The food was overcooked but served cold on every occasion.

There is not a single restaurant that I have been to on Disney property that I wouldn't go to again. That said, I won't be hurrying back to:

- T-Rex: Loved the atmosphere but it was way too loud and every surface felt sticky. Food was decent though.

- Sci-Fi: Again, really loved the atmosphere but I found that the food was just okay and it is not really a place to go if you're interested in talking to the people you are dining with.

- Mama Melrose: Did the Fantasmic dining package. My appetizer was great, entree was good but nothing to write home about. Desserts were pretty much yuck. They gave our group of 8 a sampler plate of a bunch to share and there was maybe only 2 that any of us actually liked enough to finish. Atmosphere is nothing special.

- Any of the character meals (we've done Cinderella's Royal Table, Crystal Palace, Garden Grill). The food was a pretty decent at all of them, no complaints there. However, I've come to realize that I don't really like having my meal constantly interrupted by getting pictures with or having interactions with the characters. Which is kind of the whole point, lol!

My family and I are going to WDW in 2 wks for our 1st trip. Kids are 6 and 8 yrs old. I have a CM ADR for a late breakfast. Felt like it was a "must do". After reading tons of negative reviews in this thread am reconsidering. We are staying at Beach Club, so could do Cape May's breakfast....but I want it to be magical for my kids. Stick with CM??? Ugh, I don't know what to do!

We always did the CMC breakfast on our last morning. As you are already at BC, I would choose CMC over CM's. I think any meal with characters is magical.

Cosmic Rays - it's the only meal that was just plain awful. We got 3 entrees from 3 different bays, and all 3 tasted as though it had been microwaved/reheated several times. Chicken was like rubber, and even DS's turkey sandwich kids meal was inedible. (How is it possible to mess up turkey between two slices of bread!?) Other than that, though, I've never had a meal I felt the need to send back - which is pretty good for 7 week-long trips

Haven't done Chef Mickey's since our first visit in 1999 - the buffet was identical to what the value resorts offer at the food court. I don't remember being annoyed or anything, but all my pictures you can see we had to wait until nearly everyone else left before the characters got to our table (you can see them cleaning up empty tables behind DD in all the pics!). No plans to do character meals again.

1. Coral Reef -- I thought it was just OK family hated it.
2. SiFi -- hated the seating and the food was only ok

Fultons-crab legs were awful and there was a huge cockroach on the floor-gross!

Coral Reef-love the aquarium, but the food was not good at all!

Wow now I am worried all the kids want to go to Chef Mickey's last time we went was in 2010 hoping for a better time then the rest had . We have our ADR booked sadly towards the end of the day

Crystal Palace at dinner. The only decent thing was the jalapeno corn bread and soft serve ice cream for dessert. Glad we did it for the pics and characters, but its definitely a one-and-done place for us.

I've never been to their dinner but I love it for breakfast. I like making an adr for before the park opens. It feels very magical. I love love love their puffed french toast.

Mine would be Trail's End dinner buffet at Fort Wilderness. We made an ADR here are a slow time of year but still had to wait a good while to be seated, none of the cm's at the podium knew what was going on. The food was terrible, half of the dishes in the buffet line were empty and no one re-plenished them the whole time we were there, the food we did eat was cold and gross. We pretty much just ate chicken and soft serve ice cream. Also getting there from MK totally stinks. It took for....ev....er. The boat trip back was just as bad, the line of people to get on the boat extended back the whole length of the dock. Once we got on the boat they just kept pushing more people on, there were people sitting on the floor of the boat right at our feet and others were standing extremely close to others. Not to mention the bugs, ugh there were mosquitos and flies covering every surface of the boat. I kept telling my DD to keep her mouth closed so she didn't eat any lol It was just all around a terrible meal and experience.

FWIW We have not had a bad meal at Chef Mickey's, we do breakfast on every trip. It is not fine dining by any means, the food is good and we get to have pics taken with characters without having to wait in line. We've never been rushed to eat and have never felt rushed out after we were done eating. The character interaction could be described as hurried which works out fine for my shy kids who really do just want a quick pic with characters and we not hoping to become bff's with them.

We enjoyed the food at T-Rex, but were seated under the Pterodactyl. It sounded just like a screaming baby! We've eaten there before and never heard it until this trip. If you go, let them know you don't want to be seated there. They'll know what you're talking about. /QUOTE]

I wouldn't take anything off of you list until you have tried it yourself. For every poster who hates a restaurant there is one who loves it.

Case in point: A recent poster hates the Crystal Palace dinner food. My family loves it.

Be Our Guest during quick service hours is horrible. It's crowded, messy, disorganized and everyone agreed the food was awful. Dinner on the other hand was a better experience. Food was better, severely overpriced for what you get, but you don't really go there for the food so much as the atmosphere.

Here is the issue for our family :

We are from a RURAL area with few dining choices, and we are an easy to please bunch. We do, however, expect to get decent food for the price, BUT understand places like Disney have the capture angle working them so food will cost more.

That said, in our experience, the majority (not all) of TS and QS food at Disney is bad at any cost. Many of the signature restaurants are quite good (for us) albeit expensive, but GOOD.

Starting last year after another sub par, crazy expensive meal canceled almost ALL of our reservations and ate off site. Much better experience, cheaper and we still ate probably 20% of the time on Disney.

Ugh, honestly it was the most disappointing dining experience. We had heard so many good things about the food being great, the amazing atmosphere and of course everything being great quality.

However when we got there, when had an indifferent server, the tables were way to close together. I was literally bumping elbows with the family next to us, we were pretty much all involved in each others conversations because it felt like we were actually sitting at the same table.

Fine I can deal with that but when the food came it was horrible! Just warm not flavourful and not anything worth the money we had paid. I should mention we ate there for diner but I don't think it would have mattered what time we ate at.

The only positive thing is that the whole restaurant itself is so beautiful you can't help but be amazed by it.

I won't say I will NEVER eat there again, but had a bad experience at Nine Dragons this last trip. We had a VERY inattentive server (which is almost unheard of at Nine Dragons, they usually dote on you). We sat without drink refills for over 30 minutes. When I reminded the server we STILL hadn't gotten refills she snapped "I know that, they will be here soon". It took us another 30 minutes to get the bill. I honestly didn't want to talk to a manager because I didn't want the girl to lose her job, so I just left her a mediocre tip $4.00 on a 23.00 bill ( we only ordered hot and sour soups and jasmine tea). The waitress ran me down outside and gave me my tip back, told me I needed it more than her. Oh heck to the no!! She messed with the wrong tourist. I waltz right back in that restaurant and asked for the manager and related the story. She immediately grabbed the waitress and demanded an explanation, the waitress started talking in Chinese. The manager covered the check and apologized profusely. The whole thing just left a bad taste in my mouth. I suppose I will go back, because I love the hot and sour soup, but that kind of service is unacceptable at a waffle house, much less a WDW restaurant.

$4.00 on $23.00 isn't even a bad tip...
