I Will NEVER Eat At _______ In WDW Again!!

Paridiso 37 (downtown DW). It was AWFUL, the service was terrible and they over charged us by $25. We had to put a call in to the manager to get that taken care of. Overall, just an awful experience.

We recently ate here and thought the service and food was just okay, but what really disturbed me was watching one of the staff leaving the restroom without washing her hands. :(

OMG no! That should be a felony as far as I'm concerned. Anyone working in food service needs to wash their hands thoroughly and frequently, especially after using the bathroom.

It's shocking to see Chef Mickeys mentioned so often. We did breakfast 5 years ago and it was great. How has it gone downhill so quickly?

I expect overpriced and mediocre food but meals are usually somewhat redeemed by good service and theme. If the food is good I can be pleasantly surprised. The only restaurant forever off my list is Rainforest Cafe and that's after 3 bad experiences with rude, incompetent servers.

I'm bummed to see so many negatives for Chef Mickey's. I'm planning the first trip for me and my daughter next summer and I was looking forward to CMs for dinner our arrival day. I can tolerate, barely, mediocre food if the experience is great but I can't deal with filthy! May have to rethink this one. :sad2:

Unfortunately we were not fans of Chef Mickey either. We did it 9 years ago & then again 4 years ago and both experiences were the same. I did it for both my children but would not go back. The place is dirty and the food so bland. It all tasted the same. My husband I consider ourselves foodies so truly no buffet is ever truly satisfying (although we though Donald's breakfast at AK was pretty good).

We will not return to Chef Mickeys. Was not worth the price and we didn't see all the characters in a 90 minute period.

For what it's worth, I didn't think Chef Mickey's was awful. It was clean and the food was what you would expect from a breakfast buffet. We saw all four characters in 45. We did have one of the first ADR's of the day, so that may be the key. The food was not amazing or anything, but it was good.

We didn't like Chef Mickey's... too much $$ for not good food and a dirty restaurant. Also did not like T-Rex (a person in my party got food poisoning and we know that it was there).

:confused3 With all these bad reviews I don't know where to eat now. :sad1:

It does come down to different strokes for different folks. I love Via Napoli and we had an amazing meal at Mama Melrose. I have heard bad reviews on both!

When reading these I do look for trends and any tips (like the screaming dino at T-Rex) but I still have to give most places a fair shake and try it out for myself!

Yes, I don't want to come off as a shill for CM, but my one experience 5 years ago was very good. It was first thing in the morning though. Maybe that does make a difference. No cleanliness issues whatsoever. If anything it was sparkling clean. The food was eggs, bacon, waffles and fruit and they kept my coffee cup full. No complaints. We had a party of eleven with 5 kids under 10 yo all were visited by each character, got pictures and autographs, etc. It was a great start to a day in MK.

Not to discount those with bad experiences. Obviously it's not consistent which is a problem.

Bummed to hear 1900 PF not feeling love-10 years ago it was our fave character interaction with our young DD-and we thought the food was good too. This year the girls are 10 years older (and DS is 8 and not into the characters) so we are doing somethings differently (no planned character dinners.) We do have ADR for Hollywood and Vine (part of Fantasmic! package) so will hope for best.
Mexico was our favorite place to hang and eat when in CP (admittedly it was a LOOOOONG time ago)

Chefs De France... worst meal I've ever had at Disney. Service wasn't too hot, either.

I won't say I will NEVER eat there again, but had a bad experience at Nine Dragons this last trip.

We had a VERY inattentive server (which is almost unheard of at Nine Dragons, they usually dote on you). We sat without drink refills for over 30 minutes. When I reminded the server we STILL hadn't gotten refills she snapped "I know that, they will be here soon".:headache:

It took us another 30 minutes to get the bill. I honestly didn't want to talk to a manager because I didn't want the girl to lose her job, so I just left her a mediocre tip $4.00 on a 23.00 bill ( we only ordered hot and sour soups and jasmine tea).

The waitress ran me down outside and gave me my tip back, told me I needed it more than her.:rolleyes2 Oh heck to the no!! She messed with the wrong tourist. I waltz right back in that restaurant and asked for the manager and related the story. She immediately grabbed the waitress and demanded an explanation, the waitress started talking in Chinese. The manager covered the check and apologized profusely.

The whole thing just left a bad taste in my mouth. I suppose I will go back, because I love the hot and sour soup, but that kind of service is unacceptable at a waffle house, much less a WDW restaurant.

omg that is crazy. Yikes!!!!

Dining in Disney used to be very good. We did a lot of the character meals. The places that have really gone down in our eyes are: Chef Mickeys, Garden Grill (that is off the list) Electric Umbrella (blech) Pecos Bills...used to be a place we would eat at least once. Last time was Aug. of last year. The toppings bar was a mess, and the food has really gone downhill. At HS.....the ONLY place we will eat at from time to time is Primetime and Mama Melrose although we have not eaten there in a couple of years.

Since we have been driving down for some of our trips and go in the summer we now take a break in the heat of the day a few times a week and get lunch off property.. We tend to do more CS meals now vs. spending 100-200 on less than stellar food at TS restaurants. In our opinion.....the dining experience at Disney has sadly declined.

The best breakfast buffet is at AK. We enjoy Liberty Tree at MK, and LeCellier at EC. We have a short list of faves now.

I have never been to a Disney place and not enjoyed the food. I like to consider myself a bit of a foodie being from New Orleans. Not sure if maybe I am just so enchanted with being at Disney that I don't notice mediocre food or if I have just been extremely lucky with my experiences. The only place that I might not go back is Rainforest Cafe. I just found their food "ok" and it is a little pricey. Their breakfast is seriously lacking IMO as well.
