I had read this before and was just reading it here to my DH tonight....You have taught us all to be CAREFUL on water slides and to have a great sense of humor..thanks for being such a great sport over the whole thing....

At BB last year, me, DH and DD went down 3 tubes at the same time (can't remember the name of it), you go down on your stomach and I WAS wearing a full bathing suit, no neckstrap. Well..I got down just before my DH (we're heavier = goes faster?) lol and when I stood up the top part had slid down..from plunging into the pool. I looked around quickly, saw this 1 girl who worked there sitting in her "high chair"...I smiled and said: Well I guess you're used to seeing this every day eh? While pulling it back up again, it was not fun but could have been SO much worse with more people standing there!

Oh my gosh!!!! The same thing happened to me at BB in March!!! I had a full suit on too, and when I hit the bottom of the slide, I went underwater. When I came up, DH (who was taking pictures of his girls coming down the slide) was gesturing frantically. I looked down, and I was having a "wardrobe malfunction". The ride became known as "the Janet" for the rest of the day (and I walked around the park with my hand attempting to cover my chest)the rest of the day!

ROFL! Oh, Emma'sGrammy, you have such a marvelous sense of humor! I'll bet your grandkids love having a grammy like you!
This story is priceless. Many of us (myself included) have lost part of our top on waterslides, but at least I never had to catch my suit with my toe.

Verandah Man, we had a similar "incident" with our church bulletin last year. Let's just say that we no longer call them the "shut-ins." ROFLOL! We now call them "Those who cannot get out." Our poor church secretary who is da bomb and generally makes NO MISTAKES.

EmmasGrammy, someone in another thread referred to this one, and I have to tell you how much I enjoyed your story! What a great sense of humor you have -- and what a wonderful storyteller you are!

I was choking down laughter as I read your story in my cubicle at work, and I thought it was so funny that I called my sister at home to read it to her! Unfortunately, I couldn't get through the story without laughing so hard that I had tears running down my face, and there were times that I literally couldn't choke out the next line.

Thanks for sharing your story with us. It's a great warning... and a great retelling of what I'm sure will be a "family classic"!

OK, I'm still laughing as I'm reading this thread but I have to ask this question......I don't have a swimsuit like the one you described wearing, but..........WHY would you take the strap off? Did you forget about water and G-force? Or did you not want to get it caught on something? I'm just swimming in your embarrasment and blushing too. Excuse the pun.
