I was sooo embarassed...

:hyper:    :rotfl: :rotfl:

This is too funny!!!

It reminded me of an incident when I was at school.
In our PE lessons some of us were given the chance to have high diving lessons. The teacher took 15 of us (we were all aged 14/15) to the local big swimming pool. The teacher thought he was great (although sadly was not) and would spend most of the session strutting in front of the female life guards. One lesson he got anoyed with us as we were not doing a particular dive correctly so he decided to demonstrate. He climbed the steps and preformed the dive. Unfortunately for him he had not tied the string on the inside of his swimming trunks!! He surfaced at one side of the pool whilst his trunks floated near the edge. One of the naughty boys in the class couldn't resist it and swooped the trunks out of the water causing our teacher to hide on the corner of the pool yelling loudly to give them back!!! The life guards he was trying to impress had to walk away as they were laughing that much. As for the students most of us were trying not to laugh too much as we didn't want to get in to trouble. The girls decided the best thing to do would be to turn around the other way so we could not see and our teacher could not see us laughing so much. It's funny though how the boy didn't ever come swimming again and the teacher never got in the pool again either!

Thanks for the tip, EmmasGrammy, no more strap tucking for me either.

   :scared:

Hey! My 100th post! ::yes::

Okay so it only took me 4 years.

Hi, this is KelliR's daughter...I just want to say that I, too, had quite an experience at TL. My dad had finally convinced me to ride a speed slide, a fear I've had for quite awhile. I told myself I wasn't scared and proceeded to hop on the slide. I didn't lift my butt up like I was supposed to, and felt water whoosh into my swimsuit, but didn't think anything of it. It ended up being pretty fun and not all that scary, but when I stood up at the bottom the lifeguard (who was a very attractive guy, I might add) gave me this weird look and pointed to his chest. I looked down and saw that my suit top had moved and my chest was hanging out! I also noticed that the suit bottom was pulled into a thong! It was awful, everyone was staring...so embarrassing! I totally feel your pain...

And MY lessons learned are:
1)Never trust your parents' advice about rides
2)Always lift your butt/back up when on speed slides
3)Always wear a one-piece suit!!!

I'm sorry this happened to you, I really am. I could feel your panic. You are a trooper to share it all with us. Your storytelling is fantastic and your sense of humor is sublime.

What I find most wonderful is that you posted your story under Theme ParkATTRACTIONS and honey I'm sure you were just that! :earseek:

Thanks for making us all smile and thanks for reminding me to watch my swimsuit on the slides! Reminder noted!

Thanks for the laugh! I'm glad you can see the humor in it now because that's a great story!

OOOHHHH! I am laughing so hard I have tears in my eyes. Thanks so much for sharing your story. I would have died.

Thanks for sharing that! It really made my night! LOL

Sorry you had to go through this. It makes a great story though! ;)

I completely feel your pain.

I did that at a water park in Houston once. I was 16, my grandmother had made me wear a bikini she had bought for me, and it was just a leeeetle too loose.

I lost my top in front of the boy I was trying to impress, right at the bottom of a really steep slide.

He didn't talk to me again for a WEEK.

:rotfl:  :rotfl:  Thanks for making me laugh out loud! My kids wondered what was up with me, so I read it to them :p

:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:
LOL!! I am crying!!
That is the funniest story I think I have EVER heard!!
I am so glad that you are the brave soul that you are to stay at the park and enjoy the rest of your day. Most people, me included, would of went straight to the airport. Then to share it on these boards! This is a great story.

Holy cow! I'm so embarrassed for you! I totally would have died. I lost the top of my suit once, but luckily there was only one person around for the peep show!

Thank you so much for sharing. It was priceless. What a great sport you are!!!

Oh my - This is SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO FUNNNNNNNNY!

I haven't laughed so much in ages!

Did you have your photo taken at the end of the ride? - LOL

:earseek:

:rotfl: That was YOU?? :teeth: Don't worry, we lifeguards have more stories than we can count of people losing bathing suits (usually bikini tops) on the rides. Yours is definitely one of the memoriable ones!

EmmasGrammy that is the funniest post I have read in a long time. I hope that if the same ever happens to me that I have your composure. I like to think that I can laugh at myself but that may have seriously tested my limits!

Kind of reminds me of the time my father, brothers, and I all talked my mom into going on BTMRR. She's terrified of fast rides, she can barely handle the little dip in POTC. We told her it was like the train around the park just a bit faster.

20 years later, she still hasn't forgiven us... :teeth:

Sorry Mom!

i read your tale again and have to say it is funnier yet the second time....wonder if this is why so many have reported seeing naked people floating around the waterparks( see shocking thread)

I feel your pain! I've pulled a "Janet Jackson" before, too - - back in the day when I wore a bikini (like 25 years ago). The top was two triangles of cloth on a string. I went down the slide and one piece of the cloth went ZING to the right ... when I came up out of the water, well, let's just say I was quite endowed then and it would have been worse than the Super Bowl fiasco. How embarrassing!!!
