We stayed at SSR on DP and I was a little nervous because of all the bad reviews I had read...about the buses, size, etc.. Well we could not have been happier. We got the best location (IMHO) which was the Springs, we could see the bus stop from our balconey, which meant we were close to the bus, pool, and food. We loved the pool and even though we were the last stop on the bus, the service was good. It's the same as other resorts. Sometimes no wait other times alittle wait, which is typical. We also got a first floor room, which for us was great - especially with the strollers. I just wanted to let everyone know who is "scared" to try SSR you should not be and I see why people love it there.

All of my stays have been great as well. Yes, I've had lousy bus service at times but that's really the luck of the draw - it can happen anywhere. The hallways are horribly ugly as well, but once I'm inside the room & furnishings are beautiful. It's also an easy resort to book - no need to get anxious over the 11 month window ;-)

We stayed at SSR last Christmas because everything else was booked. Just like yourself, we were really nervous after reading tons of negative reports. We ended up loving the resort and added more DVC points a couple of months later. SSR is our home resort and we couldn't be happier!

We have always had a great time at SSR as far as the negative post you will find that people like to complain about all the resorts for one reason or another. SSR is a great location bus rides are short to MK and Epcot and we have quick access to DTD. which is a favorite night spot. We also love the rooms decor and furnishings. Nice place to "come home to"

SSR is my home resort and so far I have no desire to stay any where else. Maybe one day, but SSR has everything I need. To each his own:lmao:

We stayed at SSR on developer points this past March and loved our vacation. I'm not crazy about the room decor there (just not my taste), but I loved our 1BR and the view of the lake (which I did not request - I just asked to be near a pool). It was very nice to go back to somewhere peaceful after the fast pace of being at the parks. My son loved shouting hello to people walking around the lake from our 3rd floor balcony. It was so quiet that people always heard him and many times shouted hello right back, which delighted him to no end. (If you were one of those people -- thank you -- you have no idea how much of a smile you put on a 4 year old boy's face.) :)

There does seem to be more positive feedback regarding SSR lately. It is a very nice resort.

It's so wonderful to hear people enjoying SSR. My DH has been giving me grief because I was able to get BWV for our upcoming trip. I want to experience all the resorts, was able to stay at AKV in June. Plus my DD is pregnant and thought that being close to Epcot and DHS would be nice for her, but my DH is already missing getting his cup of java from AP and walking around the SSR lake.

I can't wait to try SSR. We just purchased DVC and are going to do a split stay within SSR on our first DVC trip as owners; 7 nights THV with another family/ 4 nights 1 bedroom. :woohoo: We have stayed OKW and AKV with friends and loved them but I just know SSR will be it for us. :cloud9:
