Hi everyone, i'm back.....
It's a long time since my last post and there are some nice and bad reason for this and i wanted to share the reasons with y'all.

First our holiday, we left april 26 for our 4 week vacation to WDW and the DCL Western cruise.

The first week was a dinseyfree week, we did some shopping and also went to Sea World.
It was friday that we discovered that Bob passed away..... We felt heartbroken, wanted to attend the meeting but we could'ntg because we had to go on the cruise.
We enjoyed the cruise very very much, we loved it!!!! Eventhough our mind was many many times with Bob and his Fam. and the Podcast.

The last 2 weeks we did Disney a lot, almost every day and if it was'nt Disney then we shopped.
We ate at Boma, Le Cellier, Akershus and Mamma Melrose. The first 3 were just fantastic..... Mamma Melrose wasn't what we expected, we have ate there before and this wasn't the level of services and food from last year. But were gonna give them another change.

This is already 4 weeks of no DIS or just less DIS, on vacation we had internetconnection so we looked at the podcastforum many many times.
I couldn't make a post about my feelings about Bob, it was to difficult and everything else seemed so useless.

I was glad i could give the podcast team a box filled with H2O goodies and the certificate for Bob's name on the LRO.

Then........

We went home.
And my father passed away....
My father was 62 years old and was very sick, he had Parkinson.
One of the compications of Parkinson is that you can't swallow as you used, it just gets harder and harder to swallow.
Also a complication is that your lungs will fill up with fluent and in combination with swallowproblems your going to suffocated.

We are lucky that in The Netherlands euthanasia is legal (ofcourse under special circumstances and under very strickt supervision).
Suffocation was the way he would have died if he didn't choose euthanasia.

He passed away one week after we returned to The Netherlands.
We did hear about this the last week we where at Disney and it was hard but we did enjoyed our last week. We could talk about it and let it getting in our heads in just a very peacefull place.

When we returned home we had a fantastic last week whit my father.
Yes he was sick, very sick but we have had the oppertunity to have a fantastic farewell.
I didn't need to say anything to him, when he lived we always have said everything to eachother. But the fact that we have had a full week of farewell gives us all huge peace with this all.

After my father passed away, i needed a surgery.
This surgery was planned already but couldn't have come at a worse time than now.
Just 1 week after he passed away I was lying in a hospital bed for an eye surgery.
Everything went well but it's not a good thing for the emotions in your body....
After the surgery i wasn't allowed to computer or watch tv, so i listened to the podcasts.

Right now i'm allowed to computer a bit or watch a bit tv, not to much because my eye can't handlle that.

So that are the reasons of not being here the last couple of weeks.....
Now i can computer a bit I'm back again.

Wow! You've had a rough time!
Glad to have you back:goodvibes

Oh, wow, Yvette! What an emotional roller coaster you've been on for the past month!

I am so sorry to hear about your father. I'm glad y'all had that last week together.

Hope you're recuperating well from the surgery. Take care!

Welcome back!!!

I'm so sorry to hear about the passing of your father, and all of the hardships you have had to endure during this rough stretch. Welcome back to the forums and I hope your eye recovers well!

So glad you are back and that you are on the mend - emotionally and physically. :lovestruc

Welcome back, Yvet!
I'm sorry for your loss. We lost my father-in-law just a week before we all lost Bob. It was a hard time for all of us.
I'm really glad you were able to have a nice time on your trip, though.
Take care of those eyes!

Yvette -- So sorry to hear about your father and the surgery. I hope we can cheer you up over the next couple of days. How long will you be recuperating? Anything special planned once you are on your feet again?

Yvet, so glad to see you back!
My deepest sympathies on the loss of your father. I lost my dad from a lingering, painful illness, and can't tell you how many times I wished euthanasia were legal in the States. I'm so glad you were able to spend that last week with him, and got to say your goodbyes.

Hope you heal quickly, both physically and emotionally.

Oh Yvet! am so sorry that you lost your Dad, and at such a young age.

I'm glad that you're able to spend a little bit of time on the computer. I hope that you're 100% better soon. :goodvibes

Thanx to everyone for the kind words and lots of .

I don't know how long i will be recuperating because it should be better by now, but it isn't......
July 15th i have a appointment with the doctor and then they gonna tell me if everything is okay and what to do next.
Till that time i just have to wait and take it step by step....

Right now i can computer an watch tv just a bit and i'm not allowed to bend over or carry something so the only thing i can do and allowed to is lie down and listen to my Zune.....
And that gets pretty borring....

That is quite a tough patch you have been through. I hope things improve and you get back to normal. (((HUG))))
