At one of the school functions this year some of the parents were talking about what we wanted to give to the teacher at the end of the school year. I suggested that we have the kids create a scrapbook. They could each have a page and include a picture of themselves and write whatever they wanted and decorate it however they liked.

One of the room Mom's called me today and asked if I'd like to work on it. Of course I said yes! :) I took a lot of pictures during the year of different activities so I hope I have enough shots The kids will all receive a packet with a page and instructions and a deadline. Should be fun!

I have found that scrapbooking can be a win-win situation in school. I go on most of DD4's field trip as the photographer. The teacher is happy that she doesn't have to take all the pictures. As a matter of fact, on monday when we were all at the playground she put her camera away when she saw me taking so many shots - 2 rolls of film - :) I like it because I can be with my kids and get some pictures of their lives now - and the teachers and other families get my doubles.

Soooooo...now I need some teacher and teaching quotes! I am by no means a professional, but I really want this book to look good! The kids will do their own pages, but I'll be creating the ones from the events.

Any ideas?????

So funny that you just posted this. Just yesterday I decided that I was going to do a scrapbook for my DS preschool teachers for year end. I had the very same idea. A pic of each child and I'll have their parents get them to say what they liked about this year and their teachers. For preschool age, I think I'll just type it up, but then maybe scan their actual signature below it. If you have any more ideas on what you're going to do please share them with me.

Also, thanks for all the links. I'll check them out.
