I wanted to thank everyone.......

for all the prayers and pixie dust that was sent toward my family. I know this update is extremely late in getting to you all, but some of you may remember that on May 5 my sister had a massive heart attack and ended up having to have triple bypass surgery. She actually stayed on the respirator for 7 1/2days during which time she was heavily sedated. The doctors told us it was far more important for her to be "asleep" and resting than awake talking to us. We understood but it was still very hard seeing her like that for so long. After her 10 days in ICU, she spent 3 more days in a room on the cardiac floor for further observation. She is now home and doing much better. She still has a very long recovery period ahead of her(DR said months instead of the usual weeks). But, she is optomistic and I of course being the "mean" sis that I am, I am really pushing her! HAHA! She is so stubborn that no one pushes her when she doesn't want to be pushed. She is doing really well though to have gone through what she has. Thanks for all the prayers, pixie dust! and for everyone from the Montgomery, AL area who posted or pm's me to offer help, I really appreciate it! The DIS is the best of families!

That is good news, Jane, so happy to hear the update. I have kept up a bit with Ashton about her aunt, 'bugging' her every so often. That's great, good to hear.

I'm glad to hear that about your sister, Jane. 'Pushing' someone like you have to when something like that happens can be tough, but it's so beneficial in the end. You just hate to be the 'meanie', though don't you?
