I Want to Sell Tee-Tee to Other People!!! - July 2013 TR *UPDATE 4/29 pg. 73*

Hmmmm. My curiosity had me clicking on your Jan'12 TR link. ;)

Hahahahaha.

OMG, that picture of Joaquin with the sticker AND the shades pulled up AND the look on his face. That's a Kodak moment!!

Wait, what happened to George???? Oh I see, they decided to use fake names this time. Gotcha! :thumbsup2

That was VERY cool to have the band announce them like that.

You know when you were in Biergarten, you should have tried the beer. ;)

Ahh my precious Maelstrom. The wettest ride in all of WDW. :rotfl:

Ohhhhhh, it was a sword!! I could have sworn it was a crucifix.

George was incognito on that day, which is why she didn't want to be noticed. I think she was afraid of her fame reaching new heights since she was announced on our boat ride from DTD to Saratoga. :rotfl:

I know, I should have tried the beer! Dangit.

Yup, it was a sword. Although it's hysterical to me that you thought it could be a crucifix.

MMM the food at Biergarten for sure is fantastic..... and the beer too:cool1:

It certainly is.

I had a couple of opportunities to go to Biergarten this trip and didn't! Now I'm kind of sorry. :(

I had NO idea what was going on in that picture!!

It's always been really yummy for us. I've never had a bad experience, so I definitely tell people they need to try it.

Sausage, cheesecake, beer, and gas....what's not to love!!!

Biergarten is a fun place to go with a large group! Did you find the beer selection to be a little sparse, though?? I remember the last time we were there (~3 years ago), they had the same choices that the other Germany pavilion places did :confused3 I'm pretty sure they used to have a better selection....

In all of the years I've been there, they typically only have 3 beers on tap if I'm not mistaken. I don't remember them having more, but I think it's very likely that they may have reduced the number based on many changes they've made to menus in WDW.

Do I detect some "Glow With the Show" action coming on?? All caught up. I hope the yeti didn't have a headache like Jason did. Too much beer can do that to a person ..... not that I would know :rolleyes1

I am jealous. I never see cute male CMs in Germany!

#drunkyeti

Joaquin is amazing.

The meat on the top right of the plate looks delicious! And I LOVE cheesecake.

DYING at Joaquin's version of Thrift Shop. I actually just wrapped up a dance show where I danced to Thrift Shop, and I'm glad I didn't read this before that as I'd totally be singing it his way.

TINY DUFFY! Hopefully he consumes less alcohol than Yeti otherwise things could get expensive and messy.

Can't wait to see your ears!

Sadly, no glow with the show ears. They hadn't released them yet at that point in WDW. :confused3 Just some fancy dancy ears is all.

I may be well versed in the too much beer = headache equation......:rotfl2:

That's just a sad state of affairs! Keep an eye out next time you're there. Although the most beautiful WS CM I've ever seen was in Italy in the wine shop. I couldn't speak he was so hot.

I totally have to start using that hashtag on Instagram.

That meat was really good! Everything there is really good though. I've never been disappointed.

That child is definitely entertaining. There is certainly never a dull moment when he's around. The problem with his version of Thrift Shop is that every time you hear the normal song, you think of his!

Duffy is definitely not a lush like Yeti. We're alllll good. I can only afford one lush in my house.

I really, really want to vacation with your family. :lmao::lmao::lmao:

Joaquin is absolutely a hoot, and it really looks like Gavin is going to punch him near the dance floor.

Unfortunately, we had a very bad meal at Biergarten two years ago. Someday I am sure we will return, but for now there are too many great places we enjoy.

The picture of your dad with the boys is priceless.

I think you definitely made the right choice in NOT getting THE claw. :rotfl2:

YAY for a Biergarten update!! I’m hoping to get to eating there sometime in the near future!! Do they have any options that would be suitable for a vegetarian? Hmm...I’ll read on! Mmm beer! Good choice on not being a kid then lol! DRUNK LITTLE CUCUMBER! OH MY GAWD! WE BOTH HAVE YETI’’S!! OUR YETI’S CAN GET DRUNK AND COME ON ADVENTURES IN NOVEMBER #excitedmuch….

Looks like a great meal!! Definitely something I will be checking out next year!! Ahahahahaha THAT SONG! Baha, perfect moment, Disney sure is filled with awesome quotes and stories with the littles!

THAT PICTURE with the troll is priceless and fantastic!

Sounds like a pretty awesome evening at Epcot! Excited to read more!!

this update had me laughing so hard! my DF was highly impressed at Joaquin's improv skills. And now I have "Thriftshop" stuck in my head!

I really wish I liked beer! I'm always so jealous of people who have beers in Germany and I'm never one of them because I just don't like the taste! I try! But it doesn't work out for me!

OMG the mannequin dream story is soooo funny! That poor kid! :rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2:

I think Biergarten is one of those places that's better with a large group. When we went it was just the two of us, the band did not come out, the family we sat with weren't very nice....overall it was kinda boring. But yeah, the Bavarian cheesecake?! ::yes:: THE best!

Well Ms. Kathy, you are welcome to vacation with us anytime! ;) The next time all of us will be down there will likely be for the Princess 1/2 in February of 2015. :thumbsup2

I think Gavin was legitimately going to punch Joaquin in the face. He looked so menacing! :lmao:

There are a few restaurants that I go to rarely also due to previous bad experiences. I completely understand.

We would have regretted that claw the second it got back to the villa, I guarantee it.

They have a decent amount of options that a vegetarian could eat. It's a pretty broad buffet.

I know! Yeti will certainly be going along in November, because Yeti + F&W = insane crazy good time. And dual Yeti's? That's just going to be too much to handle. :rotfl2:

Joaquin has an interesting amount of improv skills. Sometimes he's right on, and then other times we just look at him while crickets sound.

I used to not like beer when I was first legally able to drink, but it grew on me over time. It's not for everyone though, I totally understand people that don't like it. I will say though that there are a broad amount out there. People tell me I'm crazy, but Guinness is the best. It's not super hoppy tasting, it's smooth as silk, and it has chocolate undertones. Has always been and will always be my favorite.

We normally have a large group, so it's fun. However, the few times I've been there when it's just me and another person, we've had decent table mates, so it makes a difference. If you have crappy table mates, it will ruin the dinner I think. Some people just don't have fun bones in them!

When someone makes a lame joke or I just blatantly haveno idea what they're talking about, I will actually say "cricket....cricket..." while staring at them, blankly. :rotfl2:

My brother loves Guinness.... Maybe I should try it...:scratchin

Yes, ladies and gentlemen, the lights that are in the ground around Spaceship Earth shall heretofore be referred to as "leprechaun lights".

"Oooohhh, look at the leprechaun lights!"

That is an absolutely perfect name for those lights! Way to go Joaquin!

Speaking of Joaquin, is he really scared of mannequins? Poor thing. The must have been one heck of a nightmare.

Fun dinner. I thought for sure that was going to be a picture of Jason dancing to the German band. How could I possibly guess he had morphed to a nordic warrior.

Great update!

I like that! I may have to do that. I normally just give them an icy stupid stare. :rotfl:

Guinness is heaven to me. I admit, it's not for everyone, but many non "beer" drinkers will drink it. In my opinion, it's in a league of it's own!

Every time I see them now, I'm going to say "the leprechaun lights!" We had no idea where he came up with that and what leprechauns had to do with anything, but you know. He's Joaquin. :rotfl2:

He is really scared of mannequins. Honestly, we have no idea why and where it started, but he's legitimately afraid of them. JCPenney is his least favorite place, because they're all over those stores!

Hi guys!

So I have a trip coming up in January and I wanted to share some details about it. One of the main reasons I wanted to do that is because I got to book our FP+ yesterday! I'll tell you a little about our FP+ story a little later in this post.

We booked this trip on a whim, because honestly, my Mom, Dad, and I were in a Disney depression and were trying to figure out how to get out of it. We have trips planned in May and November already, but we wanted to go back sooner.

My Dad has a new Volkswagon Passat TDI, and he's been obsessing over the fact that the car gets 700 miles to a tank. Insane right? The beauty of diesel though. He pays about $55 to $60 and gets 700 miles. Ridiculous!

So I talked to him and just curiously brought up the idea of driving to WDW. I then did the "fuzzy Disney math" for him, proving just how affordable it would be if we drove.

Why would it be affordable?

1) We already have APs.
2) We are DVC members.
3) His car gets 700 miles to the tank
4) I willed it to be affordable. ;)

At 700 miles to the tank at $60 a tank, we would only have to fill up twice each way. 4 fill ups = $240.

Add in $100 a hotel room for two nights (one night down and one night back)= $200

So total travel expenses would be $440. Split between three people.

Crazy, right?! How could we not go.

So we will be there from January 18th to the 25th.

When we booked, the only DVC that was available was Saratoga Springs. We are wait listed for the Boardwalk and the Grand Floridian Villas, but I'm not counting on them coming through.

(Courtesy of Photobucket)

Now, let me tell you about my FP+ story.

So I have a MyDisneyExperience login and so does my Mom. My Mom is the one who made the reservation through DVC. It automatically linked to her MyDisneyExperience. I logged in to her account to check on everything, and things were a little weird.

There were two versions of me on the account. A dummy version, and the "real" version of me from my side of MyDisneyExperience. Except the part of me that was linked to the reservation was not the real me. It was the dummy version. And I couldn't make a change to it, because I had a reservation linked.

Really?! So, I called Disney and waited on hold for 20 minutes for someone to come through. I explained it to them and she said she would go through and make the appropriate fixes. She had me on hold for 15 minutes while she did that, only to come back and say there were some problems on the backend, and that she would correct it and I could check it in about an hour.

So I logged in the next day. And it was still the wrong version of me linked to the hotel reservation.

The problem with this is the fact that my AP couldn't be linked to this new version of me because guess what? I had linked it to my real account already.

Confused yet? I was frustrated, because I knew that in order to participate in the MB testing, I needed to have my AP linked.

I logged in to DVCmember.com and noted there that they had some handy dandy reference that said "if your account has multiple versions of a person linked, give us a call".

I said great! I called them and she was able to fix it in a matter of minutes. So, I don't know what the other CM was doing that didn't fix it, but the CM at Member Services was able to do it lickity split.

Fast forward to yesterday. We finally get the email that we can make our FP+ reservations. So I go "yay!"

Log in. Make the first day. Woo hoo. Try to make the second day. And it's telling me that a member of our party (me if you're curious) was at the FP+ limit.

So I had to call Disney. Again. And was placed on hold. Again. Got transferred to Internet Services.

She told me that they had been having this problem on the website, and that they were working on it. She said that while she couldn't fix it, she could make my FP+ reservations for me.

Woooooooo.

So, as it stands, here are our FP+ reservations.

Sunday January 19 -

Space Mountain - 9:50am to 10:50am
Thunder Mountain - 11:50am to 12:50pm
Peter Pan - 1:35pm to 2:35pm

I know you're asking yourself why no BOG for lunch. It's because she said we couldn't make it. I tried to make it myself through the BOG lunch link and it's not allowing me to either. So we'll wait in line.

Tuesday January 21 -
Ssssshhhhhh. We're going to the Dark Side......

Wednesday January 22 -

Soarin' - 11:30am to 12:30pm

I'm super excited for the FP+ plans and I'm very much looking forward to experiencing the MB's. My experience thus far with the process hasn't been the smoothest, but I'm going to attribute that to it's newness. Good thing I'm a laid back person y'all!

Throughout the next few weeks, in between normal updates, I'll just insert some PTR plans, like where are we eating?! That's super important you know.

Thanks for listening to my ramblings.

:scared1: Totally haven't read the latest update because I just realised that missed one!!! :scared1:

So Biergarten! How cool that the CM made note of your parents' anniversary like that. Very cool.

I have read so many great things about Biergarten. I have never been tempted to book an ADR there though. :confused3 I have to believe that we are really missing something. :scratchin

Those dang yeti stuffies - such lushes!!! DRANKS! :cool2:

Joaquin is just so funny - I love all his crazy pics, the ridiculous song, everything. What a lot of personality that kid has! Can't begin to imagine where he gets it….. :rolleyes1

It's really hard to argue with your math. Especially when it comes to Disney :thumbsup2

We're going to just miss you and your family. We'll be arriving on January 28th. Our 60 day mark is coming up next week and I'm just bracing for impact about making the FP+ ressies. To make things more complicated I'm juggling two separate packages: one for my family of 4 and one for my brother's family of 3. Would you like to place odds on whether this will go smoothly? :lmao:

Anyway happy to hear you finally worked it out although that was a lot of leg work on your part. Or I should say phone work.
