I Want to Sell Tee-Tee to Other People!!! - July 2013 TR *UPDATE 4/29 pg. 73*

We can bring our workout stuff to Wally World and run there....... and get lost forever :rotfl::rotfl:

Definitely a part of my plan. I want the opportunity to get outside in warmer weather!

I was a treadmill-exclusive runner until this summer - I couldn't stand running outside before, but now I'm a convert. My suggestion to help with this (and what I'm doing) are various treadmill workouts. Sometimes, yes, I go for distance, but usually I'm doing inclines, sprints, and various timed runs with cool down periods. I also like putting on the "random hills" setting and just adjusting my speed every few minutes.

This morning on my run I put on a youtube video called "Witching you were here" about the 25th anniversary of WDW. I watch a lot of youtube Disney on the treadmill! :goodvibes

I was too, but not the distance that I run now. I started my training program on a treadmill, but was only in intervals. I didn't get to the point of being able to essentially jog for 3 or more miles straight until I moved outside. So it's been not fun for me, just because my mind gets so bored. I've been mixing it up with intervals, trying to push myself for short spurts a high speeds to increase breath control.

Huh, YouTube on the treadmill. Never thought about that one. :lmao:

There's a Disney show out there on youtube that's 4 hours long! I actually put in on one Sunday and let it play in the background; I really enjoyed it.

Try an incline workout. That will get you going! I start at 2%, then every minute I go up one percent until I get to 10%, then you go down one percent every minute until you get back to 2% and repeat. It's pretty intense if you pick up your speed, too!

OK, seriously, frame that. Such a great shot!

Sounds like a great time at Typhoon Lagoon! We literally went once and that was in 2004. I was thinking about going when we were there a few weeks ago but it never happened! Hopefully next time we'll actually make it over there! Just not on a Saturday... :rolleyes1

Oh! And CONGRATS on your weight loss!!!!!!!!!! It's not easy and I know you worked hard so you should definitely be proud of yourself! Post that picture as often as you like!

I've said it before and I'm sure I'll say it again -- You look amazing! You're an inspiration for sure. The princess half? Wow! Good for you guys!

Ohhh I love me some lazy river, but I'm not a fan when they're crowded. I just can't get lazy then. Too busy worrying about everyone else!
LOL @ Jeni under the tube! And even better would be Popadon's reaction to everyone thinking it was him! :rotfl2: However the fact that he got a public spanking is the highlight of this particular episode. :thumbsup2

Holy smokes, 4 hours long!? I'm definitely going to have to check that out sometime.

I definitely do inclines when I'm not in the mood to run fast. It helps me to make sure I'm getting a good workout, even if I'm not jogging.

Hahaha, we should right? His face looked priceless in that shot.

We never used to go to the water parks often, mainly because we didn't go as often during the hotter months. Now that we've started going more during the summer because of the kids school schedule, they've become a must do for us.

Thanks! I'm very happy about how far I've come up to this point.

Thanks hon. I feel really good, so it helps me to keep motivated also.

I've wanted to do a half marathon in WDW for years. However, I've never gone far enough with fitness that it's been a possibility. Now, I'm more determined than ever to get there.

I agree, sometimes it's difficult to be lazy when the river is overcrowded. It was fun having so many of us there though, so it made it a little easier.

Hahaha. Yup. Pop indeed got a public spanking.

Dad had just suffered a public spanking at the hands of my Mom for losing his prescription sunglasses on the Storm Slide that he had just gone down.

For the count, remember, Jason, Popadon, and myself had all lost our sunglasses on that fateful journey.

We knew that we had to register our information at the front of the park before we left, and that if they were found, they would likely end up at the main Lost and Found at the TTC. I wasn't worried, I still had like 4 other pairs (cheap sunglasses rule!). But Jason and Dad didn't have anything else.

We were hungry at that point, as it was already 1pm. Crazy how fast a morning can go by in a water park! We decided that we would eat at Leaning Palms and then head out of the park. It was really crowded at that particular CS location, but eventually we found seats.

Nothing too exciting to eat. I only have two pictures.

My pulled pork sandwich (which I have to say was really tasty).

Gavin's turkey sandwich.

The others I didn't get pictures of, but Dad got a grilled chicken wrap, Mom got a turkey sandwich, Jason got a cole slaw dog, Jeni got a chili cheese dog, and Joaquin got peanut butter and jelly.

After we filled our tummies, it was time to head back to the hotel. We had an earlier dinner reservation in Epcot at 5:30pm, so we wanted to be able to get freshened up after being in the water all day.

We drove back to the villa and headed inside. And what do I find?

Yes ladies and gentlemen. A golf ball had come through out window while we were out and had broken the glass.

I had found it because I went to the couch (otherwise known as the pull out sofa that I was sleeping on) and noticed a golf ball laying on the floor. Then, I glanced back behind the couch and there was the broken glass.

The first thing I thought of was "at least it wasn't my face!", thinking back to the beginning of the trip when the golf ball almost smacked me in the face.

Let's just say, clearly the location of this villa was not ideal. Dad called the front desk right away and they said that they would send someone up from the maintenance department to take a look at it.

He showed up about 5 minutes after the call to take a look at it. He told us that this particular window had double paned glass due to its location (read: golf balls hit this villa a lot). While he was looking at the window, two more golf balls hit the villa!!!!

His assessment of the situation was that we couldn't stay there, because the glass was special order and that they didn't have any to replace it.

Soooooo, we would have to pack up and move.

This was day 3 of our vacation. We had 2 days left at this particular villa and then were moving to the Animal Kingdom Lodge for the remainder of the trip. Mom decided that she would call the front desk to see if, instead of moving us to another villa, we could move to the Animal Kingdom Lodge early. We didn't love the prospect of moving now, and then having to move in 2 days again.

They couldn't work it out. They said there was no availability. And let me tell you, this did not end our hotel woes on this trip (more foreshadowing).

So we had a dinner reservation at 5:30pm. It was now after 2pm. And we had to pack up 7 people's things to move to another villa down the road.

While we were rushing around the villa trying to get packed up, Mom called the front desk again. She told them her irritation with the situation, and also commented that we may miss our dinner reservation in Epcot because of this debacle.

They sent someone from Bell Services over right away to help us out, and at the same time they said they would send a van over at 4:45pm to take us directly to Epcot.

Well that's service.

People, I'm telling you, we packed up everything so quickly. It was ridiculous. I didn't think we were capable of doing it. However, let's just say that the Bell Services guy had his work cut out for him. We had tons of food and bags.

We had a total of 30 bags for the guy to take. And these are Treehouses, so those bags had to go down the stairs and then back up the stairs to the new villa. He got his workout. Even though it wasn't a planned, my Pop still gave him a huge tip, because he really hustled those bags.

The van came to our new villa promptly at 4:45 to pick us up. Man, I could get used to this door to park service. He literally drove us up to the entrance of Epcot. We arrived with 30 minutes to spare getting to our reservation.

You guys tired yet from our afternoon?

After our less than ideal afternoon debacle, we were here.

Joaquin was clearly raring to go, dragging Ommi along.

Hi my pretty!!!!

And, since we technically had a 1/2 hour until our reservation, we figured why not take some PP pictures?

Joaquin is a special child.

And, because the PP photographer recognized just how interesting a subject he had in Joaquin....

This was after we told him to BE NORMAL!

One of my favorite pictures of the entire trip.

This PP photographer told the guys to stand with the arms crossed, and that they needed to look very serious. Again with Joaquin's face!

After our PP photographs along the way, we finally made it to our reservation destination.

To anyone who hasn't read my prior TR's, we love the Biergarten. It normally appears on our list most trips.

Up next: Our Biergarten dining experience.

Oh....and this happens.

Wow... that's a new one! Thank God y'all weren't actually IN the villa went the glass broke! That's scary. I love how they handled everything though. :)

I know! It was definitely a new one for us too. Never had something like that happen before.

They did handle it pretty well. It was still frustrating though. Especially for me, since I was the one that had painstakingly made all of the ADRs. :lmao:

I am crying I am laughing so hard!! Not at the golf ball incidents, or the packing up at the speed of light to move.....but THAT FACE!!!! He's too cute, I honestly don't know how you stand it!!!! Great update and oh btw....you look amazing in these pics!!!

Haha, cuye Turkey sandwich. Fish are friends not, um... bread.

OMG!!!! Seriously??!! A golf ball??!! I can't even grasp this in my feeble little mind. This is CRAZY!! I'm sure glad they tried to be helpful.

On a completely unrelated note, WOW the golfers there suck!!!!

OK that is SUPER SWEET of pop to give the guy a tip under the circumstances.

Awwwwww I can see why you liked that picture so much. That is simply precious.

Hahaha I think Popadon is channelling Barbara Eden in the China photo!!

First off, Joaquin has some awesome expressions! That would be my face too if a bundle of balloons were threatening to take me airborne!

That whole situation with golf balls and the villa is just nuts. I think you should do us a public service announcement and let us know the villa number so that if any of us gets assigned to it in the future we can tell the front desk "Ohhhhh Noooooo. We are NOT stepping foot in that Caddyshack!" :lmao:

:scared1: The golf ball situation was INSANE!!! I can't believe they would have a villa located in a location where it would regularly get pelted with golf balls! I would have had a little mini-tantrum about having to move. :rotfl2:

LOVE the PP pics! Joaquin is just awesome. Love the faces he makes! Do you think, just perhaps, it's genetic…… :rolleyes1

Oh nooooo! Not another golf ball! That's really unfortunate that you had to move and then move again. Great service on Disney's part to send people to help you, though!

Joaquin is making me laugh out loud right now. Like actually out loud. I'm concerned my roommates are going to ask me what's so funny. :lmao:

A golf ball really?!?!?!?! Yes glad you were not in the tree house and not sleeping or on that couch.

So he tells you the window is already double paned, and it is special order and yet they don't have a spare one????? Guessing it was also broken during the previous guests visit too. :rolleyes1

Either that a lot of bad golf or that THV is in a really bad spot and the person designing it doesn't play golf or they would have realized. :rotfl:

Hate that an errant golfer was the cause for you to move but glad Disney stepped up and made a bit easier for the dining scramble.

Joaquin .... there are no words .... :lmao: Built in entertainment... There I found some.:rotfl2:

Joaquin always adds some levity into the situation. You can certainly count on his face to keep you entertained. :lmao:

I know, right? Fish bread, it cracked me up. I think I've seen it at the grocery store before.

Yup. A golf ball. That whole villa was just cursed.

At first I didn't want to tip the guy, but my Dad made a good point. He had nothing to do with the problem and my Dad felt horrible that he would have had to do all that work for no recognition.

I know, he is channeling some Jeannie in that picture. So awkward, yet so funny.

PSA.......it was villa number 7043. :lmao:

The thing abut the situation is that it wasn't that amazingly close to the course. Like, it was there, but it wasn't right on top of it. They were some horrible golfers!

Genetic? Absolutely not. :lmao:

I know, another golf ball. Thankfully, that was our last golf ball incident of the trip.

Laughing out loud is absolutely acceptable. Just tell your roommates that it's Disney related, so it's okay.

I was grateful that we weren't at the villa too! I literally stood there for a few minutes wondering if that really just happened.

I thought the same thing! You don't keep any of that additional glass on hand in case a situation like this happens? Insane.

As a relative to golfers, I just don't understand how they were so horrible at golfing. Really. Like, you want to pay that kind of money to golf Disney, and you can't golf to save your life?

He is built in entertainment. It's part of the reason we keep him around.

I just can't believe that in the WHOLE of AKL there wasn't ONE PLACE they could put you that you could stay through the trip. Seriously? That just doesn't seem correct to me. I guess it IS in July, but WOW to fill up that big resort??

I am so glad the golf ball incident didn't happen while you were in the room. What kind of terrible golfers are on that course to just completely miss the green AND the rough and hit a Villa??

Ooohhh, moving hotels stinks!! Considering the amount of flying golf ball incidents during your trip alone (so it probably happens a lot!) - I can't believe that they don't have windows ready on standby!?

Nice family pictures; I like how you snuck Yeti into the silly shot....

Yes ladies and gentlemen. A golf ball had come through out window while we were out and had broken the glass.

you can see the Duct tape on the window. It was there when we checked into the Villa. We had noticed that the outside glass on the window had been broken before.... We figured the glass was on order and would probably be replaced at some point. Never thinking another golf ball would hit the same window and go right through. The engineer told us that it was unbelievable that it would hit the same window. He did tell us that several of the Villas get hit by golf balls all the time..... unbelievable for sure

Oh my gosh! There's some seriously challenged golfers out on that course!! Especially if two more golf balls hit the villa while maintenance was there. Design flaws I say.

That was great of Disney to offer villa to park entrance transportation. And that bell service dude, I'm sure he did get his work out. :thumbsup2

Those faces!! Oh my gosh!! Joaquin is so amusing. So much cute in that little boy. :)
