I wanna be a mod.

Now that you say that, I also noticed we hardly ever see the mods anymore. I think it's a good idea for there to be a few more mods.

I think that I would make a good moderator because I am on here and post almost every day...I read quite a few threads, and acknowledge when I go a little off-topic. I think that moderators need to be people, not who aren't opinionated (a few double negatives there or what? lol), but people who know enough to step back from a situation and read other people's opinions without getting all heated. I think a mod must be patient, kind, and placating.

However,

1)For me to be a mod, is not for me, nor you, to decide.
2)For YOU to be a mod, is not for you, nor me, to decide.
3)I think our mods are doing a great job. Travis comes on, as he says, every day, and deletes things when he needs to, and keeps people in line. If he can't read every thread, then he can't! Do you realize how many posts each person has every day! It is physically impossible to keep up with them all! And Tara was a great mod when she was around...wonder where she is?
4)I was nominated by someone to be a mod, and apparently it never happened? Or I never heard the results? So that's kind of disappointing.

I think that most people think it to be fun, to be a moderator. I"m sure it has it's times. I can't say I haven't asked to be a moderator, But I know that that its up to our mods and webmasters to decide.

I agree and feel the same way.
I also agree with Ash's post above, I just don't know how to double quote stuff in the same post

I've been an admin of a website I created before. It was fairly popular and I know that being a mod is hard (not as hard as wm or admin but still hard. admins delete posters and things like that) I think travis does a good job, but this board is just too much for one person. as he stated, he can't read every post. I think just giving him one or two people to help would take alot of the load off of him, and make the board run better.

Yeah, but like you said in our little PM convo, we have very little chance of getting a mod spot for the board.

I admin on various RPG boards. Moderating was something I used to do, but it's too simple for me now. But honestly, I have no real interest in it [shrugs]

basically, i agree with everyone here. Sparx & Munky would make awesome mods.

i would never make a good mod cos i'm not serious & i enjoy getting into arguments xD i'm too opionated sometimes. anyways, it doesn't matter.

yes i agree i think sparx, munky, and thebellhop would all make great mods.

well we seem to have a bit of support from a lot of the teen posters. I guess it just comes down to what the powers that be think.
