Just got back from my first weekend at Universal Studios Hollywood. I'm trying not to be too dramatic but how can we even put that park in the same category as Disneyland or Magic Kingdom? The list of substantial differences is so long. I don't even know where to begin?

Is this the same for the Orlando version? Am I being too biased? Or am I missing something else?

I wouldn't say it is awful, but it's totally a different experience. The backlot tour is the must see there. Once you've seen that, you don't need to do it again in future visits. There aren't as many rides there as Universal Orlando or the Disney Parks.
