Hi Everyone!

I had a great, great time in NYC this past weekend with my girlfriends! We got to NYC about 10 p.m. on Friday night and checked into the Westin in Times Square. They gave us our key, we went to our room, walked in and noticed that there was peoples stuff everywhere! So, we went back to the front desk (42 floors down!) and told them the situation so they upgraded us to a suite!!! And gave us a $100 credit to the hotel for food/drink/room service. Worked for us!! The suite was BEAUTFIUL!!!!! It was like a small apartment! Loved it!! We freshened up some and headed down to Time Square...I was like a little girl....I've never been to NYC before and WOW!?! What else can you say? It's amazing!!! We checked out a couple of shops, but made our way to the W bar and had a few drinks, it was fun, we headed back about 1 or so, stopped for pizza and got a decent night sleep.

Saturday we had a beautiful day, ordered room service for breakfast before making our way out for the day. This night we'd be in another hotel in Rockefeller Center area, the Marriott. My friends husband got us the rooms for FREE with points used from all the business travel he does! so we had to switch rooms, which was fine by us. So before we got started this day, we headed over that way and dropped off my car and our bags and our room was ready! SO we checked in, got settled and went out to check out Rockefeller center!!! We saw the NBC studios, the skating rink, the Christmas decorations, the tree being trimmed!! It was so neat!!! From there, we caught a cab to go and tour the Empire State blng. It was amazing! The lines were SUPER long but it was worth the views from the top for sure!!! Afterwards, we made our way to a brew pub, grabbed an appetizer and a beer and walked a bit more back to our hotel to get dolled up for the night. We had a 7:30 ressie at Tao for dinner, which was amazing!! That night we found another great hotel bar, we ended up in a reserved booth and danced and had a few drinks. It was fun!!

Yesterday morning we had to check out by noontime, so we got up a bit earlier and made our way out to Starbucks for coffee, snack and walked out way to Central park and to check out some shops,including WOD!!! WOW....what an amazing shop!! I got my fill for a bit anyways!! Loved it!!! We had a quick hot dog from a street vendor and made our way back home.....4 hours later, we were home!

It was a great girls weekend, we're hoping to make it an annual event for us and maybe catch a show next time and explore a different area.

We head out tomorrow night for Philadelphia, sooooo not looking forward to the drive! But we're doing it after dinner so (hopefully!) the kids will fall asleep and we can transfer them when we get to Todd's parents. It's a 6+ hour drive from here so we won't get in until after midnight for sure. And we'll do the same trip home on Saturday night, in hopes to miss the traffic a bit , as well.

I'm not sure I"ll get in a Disney update before I go, I'm sorry, thanks for being patient with me...need to pack all 5 of us, finish the wash , pay the bills and get the house in order before we go. So, if I don't get on again, I am wishing you all a VERY Happy Thanksgiving!! Safe travels if you're traveling and I'd love to hear what you're all up to!!

I love working in NYC. I still remember my first trip when I was about 11 years old. I fell in love with it then. I was thrilled when I started actually working there a few years ago. My commute is about an hour and a half, but I take the train so I sleep for most of it. The funny thing is I actually get home the same time I used to when I worked closer to home. The cost of the train ticket kills me though, and I keep telling myself I really need to work closer to home to save some money.

I went on Friday and picked up a few NY exclusive items that were marked down 40%. One of the cast members said it is the only stuff that will be marked down. Everything else will just be shipped back to the parks.

That is sad. I have never been there, but wanted to go someday. That was a special store because it was a real World of Disney, not just a Disney Store. And the NY exclusive stuff was cool. I have a Statue of Liberty Minnie that some good Disers sent me when they had a meet there, so it's quite special. I guess after WoD closes and there is no Disney at all, a Disney Store will be better than nothing. Hopefully, it'll have all this new interactive stuff they are talking about putting in Disney Stores soon.
