I think Disney should start enforcing end times on fastpasses

I'm glad to be able to use a FP at a later time. On Thursday we got a 4:30 to 5:30 return time to TSMM, and didn't get back to the park until 5:50. Now to some, late is late, no exceptions, but we were able to use the pass.

Some people need to take a Valium or seven. It's a fraking vacation, not life or death. Put things into perspective. It's a non-issue.

It's funny, isn't it? I mean, Disney celebrates a certain amount of rule-breaking and even out-and-out lawlessness... yet some people get so hung up on trying to make sure everyone obeys the strictest possible definition of everything.

I think some people would prefer to see the Magic Kingdom turned into a police state.

If it's not Disney's rule, explain to me why the FP has an ending time, and doesn't say come back ex. after 4:30 PM. The hypocritical thing kinda lost me. In all of the years we've been going to Disney, we have never, ever returned after the expiration date of a FP. We've passed up many oportunities to get FP's because we've known we couldn't make it back.

Please feel free to interpret the window any way you like.

We here are discussing that, regardless of what's printed, the "end time" is not important to Disney on the day the FP issued.

Oh for God's sake. LET IT GO. You're just looking sad and pitiful at this point. If this is your biggest problem in your life and worth this much effort, consider yourself lucky.

You're own adherence to Fastpass return times does not make me or anyone else a hypocrite. I also cannot explain why you refuse to acquire Fastpasses if you cannot return during the one-hour window or use them after the return times.

All I can say is, it ain't your park and it ain't your rules. The folks who own the park -- and make the rules -- are fine with people returning late and it's not hard to see why if you read and understand Doc's link.

That is your choice and I respect it. Sometimes we return w/in the time Disney states and sometimes we use the FPs hours later which is our choice. The day Disney says this is not ok, we'll stop.

Did you not like my answer the first time? Here it is again in case you missed it.

As doconeill has said, Disney puts a return time so that it allows them to get rigid if they need to. That almost never happens. It also works to spread out the FP users so they all don't show up 5 minutes before close.

It's almost as if a dead horse is being beaten somewhere , isn't it?

:lmao: The funny thing is I never realized you could use late FPs until one of these threads popped up a few years ago:rotfl:

LOL! :lmao::rotfl::rotfl2:

I honestly can't believe this is even still going on.........

Maybe we can USE the Elmer's glue to paste our Fastpass on our kids' foreheads. Then we won't miss our precious end times.

PROBLEM SOLVED.

Now, about those refillable mugs ....

you can ...... All this is, is a debate on ethics. This is the last on this topic for me, so I hope someone can help me with a question I have. Where is Disney's rule that says that I can't send my wife and daughter ahead to stand in line for a particular ride, while I go get FP's for another ride, and then cut in line to join my family when I return. Y'all get pretty enraged on the cutting in line topic, but returning late with FP's is the exact thing. It's nothing but a ethics thing and you can't win that debate. You just have to resort to personal attacks.

It's not ethics. Disney does not allow latecomers to join most lines. Disney allows people to use FPs after the return time.

Pretty simple.

And since you've agreed not to post on this anymore, I guess we can all consider that the final word.

G'night.

Which should mean this thread can finally RIP.

And, um, no it isn't. As someone pointed out a few pages back, it's almost the opposite. Returning late essentially means you are letting others in front of you.

Not the same thing at all. You're not cutting in front of anyone with a late fast pass. You're entering at the end of the fast pass line.

Disney COULD, at any time they wish, choose to change any rule, or enforce any rule to the letter. It's THEIRS to decide, not yours.

Now chill out and have a fun vacation.

Thank goodness! Now that poor dead horse can finally rest in peace....
