The Old El Paso corn tortillas in a can. My mom use to make tacos using these tortillas when I was a kid. She would fry them for a short time folding them over. Fill them with the meat and yummy. What a good dinner. Haven't found anything close to them. Don't care for those flour tortillas or the hard as rocks corn shells. Any favorite foods out there that anyone misses?

I buy the corn tortillas that come in the refrigerated section. They are by the flour ones & in the same type of package and I fry them.

I don't remeber them in a can. I buy them in the refig section also.

I love tacos :Pinkbounc

(Thanks to you I have a taste for tacos, thanks to JaniceJersey I have a taste for hot dogs. Both of you are going to pay for my Weight Watchers membership) :p

Making me hungry with that description... darn, more than an hour to go before lunch.... LOL. :)

Sorry Newmouse!

A food I miss are Hunt's Skillet Dinners. My mom used to make these for lunch when we were kids and lived down the block from school.

The two varieties I remember most are the lasagne and Western dinner. The lasagne came with a powdered cheese that you reconstituted with water and dropped in blobs on top--yum! The Western one was like a chili and made cornbread dumplings.

Lars:
I have tried the ones in the refrigerated section. They just don't compare in taste. They seem to be thinner then that ones that were sold in the can.
