Hello All!
Well they are transferring my son to another hospital for further evaluation...one that has a BIGGER peds department and a pedatric surgeon. It's looking very likely that he is going to need the surgery!! I know that it is a minor surgery, but the ultrasound was very suspicious for appendicitis. Needless to say we will be driving out tonight. We have a few things we need to take care of and we will be on the road!!

I do have some BIG news to bring a little joy to this post. So ~ I get home today and check my email...there is one from Disney with a pin code to upgrade to a SSR or OKW Studio for FREE!!! Well I got right on the phones and while on hold checking the DIS to see if there were others out there with the same code. Yep, there were LOTS of people posting about the pin code...many of them with NO luck at getting the upgrade!! So I began to be very doubtful that they would have availability for us either. The nice CM I got on the phone was not familiar with the pin code...said that it was one that just went out today. He first said that we could upgrade for a discount , I read the email to him that said FREE. He put me on hold for like 5 minutes...when he came back he sadi "You were right!" So he searched for availability for my dates...both OKW and SSR had rooms available!!! SWEET!!! So guess what?!?! We are staying in a 1 bdrm villa at SSR ...the email said STUDIO and he booked us in a 1 bdrm!!! And Disney OWES me $3!! Tinkerbell was sure looking out for me today!! She knew that I needed all the I could get today!!

I am so glad that you joined me. This is going to be a FAST 30 days...I have so much to do...I don't even know how to organize my thoughts! Congrats on your upgrade ...it was definitley bitter sweet for my...I am going to miss meeting my DIS friends at the resort in the evening. Jeffery would have had so much fun playing with Tammy and Colleen's sons!!! Thanks for the threads...I have been checking out some...these will definitely help!

Hello Fellow DISers!!
Well we are back home and Jeffery is doing GREAT! He is healing well and is up an moving. It was not a very invasive surgery...he has 3 small incisions, instead of a one big one. I have to say that I am glad to be home!!

It was a great ride home and I am looking forward to getting back to my normal life!! Well when we arrived home I had to check the mailbax...I knew that Disney would have something in there for me!! I WAS RIGHT!!! I had Mickey Mail!! Unforunately it was all printed with my original ressie information. I am still excited none the less. Obviously, there was not much Disney planning this weekend...so now I have to get BUSY!! I just wanted to let you guys know that we were home and doing well!! I will post more tomorrow, or Thursday once we are all settled

I felt the same way when I was in Rochester this weekend. No time to get online!! Well now I amm going to run around like a freak trying to prepare for this trip, because I only have 30 days lefts!!! Can you tell I am excited?? My husband had the same surgery about 10 months ago...so that scared him even more. He is doing very good and is asking when he can start football!!??!! Thanks for thinking of us....we really appreciate it!

What advice, ideas or suggestions do you have in regards to SSR??

Hmmm, let's see. We stayed there in '05 and the resort wasn't even completely finished. I loved our location at Congress Park with a view of Downtown Disney (and an easy walk to the Marketplace!)

Although I hear that the Springs section is also highly desirable due to it's proximity to the main theme pool with a water slide, and The Carriage House.

Many people also enjoy the Grandstand (the newest section) because it has a great little pool and pop-jet water play area and is also not too far from the Carriage House.

I remember that even then, unfinished, the resort was very beautifully landscaped and had a quiet, restful feel to it. Little "horsey" theme touches are everywhere, including a horn that goes off on the hour.

You know, the horn that plays at the start of a horse race....

Da-da-da Da Da-ta-da Da-ta-da Da-da-Da!!

I'm being a good Dis'er tonight. Trying to catch up on everything and getting stuff organized. I'm so happy for you getting SSR. We'll miss you but as I was saying on the other PTR...you can join us one night and we can come join you guys too! This way you can still enjoy Pop, good company , and fun times! We're going to have a blast!

I just read about your baby. I'm glad everything went well with his surgery. Poor baby...Disney will make him feel a lot better! We don't have long now...about 3.5 weeks...

My upgrade was a little bittersweet too...I was going to meet a DISfriend at the ASMu pool for a drink......maybe we can still find a way to have our DISmeet.

Okay ~ so I know I said that my next post was supposed to be about Day 2 in Animal Kingdom...but I ordered Ridemax last week and I am trying to figure it out. Will work on it tonight and hopefully have that update for you. I am going to "borrow" an idea I got reading oregonmommyof2 PTR to make our TP for each park...take a look at her PTR to see what I am talking about!! It's really neat!

Well today...while I should be working I am going to work on my auotgraph pages. I am going to use Natalie's designs to print out on card stock...that way I can easily transfer the Autographs to a photo book (I got this from someone elses PTR...but I don't remember who). I am going to do one book and just split the autograph cards up with the boy (since there are sooooo many). I purchased mulitcolored retractable sharpies for them to use. This should be a time consuming project. I was going to make the boys activity book...but the vote is still out on that one.

That's all for now...I am going to post more tonight. I promised to take pictures of the things I have!!!

Are you going to put a map of the park on the back of your touring plan like I did? If you need a map, I have them all scanned in and ready, I can email them if you want...

By the way, my MIL lives next door and has been waiting for a package from UPS and I told her that since the last names are the same, the poor UPS man is probably scared I learn how to harass them from her!

Can't wait to see your autograph books! I did the same thing with the cardstock and then transferred them to my scrapbook. It worked really well.

Oh....I absolutely LOVE my baggallini! It's the perfect size for the parks. Good choice.

I'm behind you on the weight loss...you go girl!

Hey Kathy! Thanks for the info on SSR. I love going to the races...so this should be very amusing. So do I request what section I want to be in? I think I am going to ask for Congress Park...overlooking DTD. That should be pretty at night. I am sooooo ready for this trip!!

Well welcome back...I am actually heading over to your TR to read all about the camping trip!! I really think I am going to enjoy the bag...should be able to house everything I need. I was really scary with Jeffery's surgery and the fact that he was 7 hrs away from me was even worse. I felt much better when I was able to lay my eyes on him!! I am going to work on my TP's tonight when I get home...along with some !!!

Day 2 – August 30th – Animal Kingdom Day; Park Hours 9 am – 5 pm.
Okay, so as promised like 2 weeks ago…I finally started working on my Animal Kingdom Day! This is going to be a VERY early morning for us, because with have a “date” with Donald & Friends at The Tusker House at 8:05 am.

Wake up: 6:15 am – have a cup of coffee and get dressed before waking the children up. I am sure that my DH will not be cooperative…he is not a morning person at all.

7:30 am – leave SSR and head to AK. We will have our car, so most likely we will drive.

8:05 am – Breakfast at Tusker House…I believe that we will be here for about 1 hr…maybe a little longer.

Now the rest of the plan is based off of information that I received from RideMax…please let me know if you suggest anything different. We plan to attend these attractions in the order that they are listed:

• Tough to Be a Bug
• Dinosaur
• Nemo
• Get Fastpass for KS or ride if there are no lines
• Free time for about 1.5 hrs before lunch…ride whatever has little to no wait times.
• Ride KS (use FP, if couldn’t ride originally)
• Lunch at Yak Yeti or Pizzafari (whichever the boys want…most likely pizza)
• Festival of LK
• Get ready for the Parade
• Ride KRR
• Ride EE

Depart the park and head back to SSR to hang out at the pool for a little while. I was hoping to get ADR’s for O’hana this night…but I have not had any luck. If all else fails we I will probably cook dinner since we have a kitchen. If I am in no mood to cook then we will head over to DTD to grab some dinner and hang out for the evening.

So, are there any attractions that I am missing?? I would love to hear your thoughts!
