For the last 4 years I have booked breaks at Disney for the few days before Christmas.

In 2007 - our flight was cancelled home (due to fog at Heathrow) and after a lot of anxiety, we managed to get on the last flight leaving CDG for London that night (23 Dec). Decided not to travel so close to Christmas again.

However in 2008 we did it again - no travel problems but was very disorganised for Christmas and decided it was too much pressure and we wouldn't do it again.

However we booked again in 2009 - but this time it was cancelled due to Eurostar problems - train stuck in tunnel for hours and hours a couple of days beforehand and all trains backed up and eventually ours was cancelled.

2010 - decided to give it one more go. This time we thought we weren't going to get home at all!

So we decided DEFINITELY no more.

So now, I'm sitting here twiddling my thumbs, thinking I should be there. So I've spent my time FINALLY doing my trip report from last December. I thought of calling it 'the one with all the BLOODY snow' but changed my mind at the last moment. :)

Anyway it was good therapy for me and brought back lots of memories.

Thats all I have now, with no more trips planned. :sad2:

Theres still time to pop over for a quick trip- theres 3 more days til Christmas :rotfl:

Oh I feel exactly the same! We have been there for the Christmas season the past 3 years and I have serious withdrawal symptoms this year. Mind you the memory of getting stuck at Charles de Gaulle last year, because of the snow, in an awful hotel is still quite fresh in my mind so that does help!!

We went quite close to Christmas back in 2002 and it was too crazy when we got home trying to get everything done so now we go the first week in December and it's great. Still a great Christmassy feeling and plenty of time to get sorted when you get home.

If it's of any help, this year, security personel are on strike at CDG, causing some delays at times ...

Christmas might be a beautiful time of year to go to the parks, but it's also very crowded, cold, and that period WILL know breakdowns, weather conditions, and "social unrest" ...

so just tell yourself that you're skipping this one, only to come back stronger next time

Yes, you should have been there, you know I wanted a 2011 bauble :lmao: :lmao:

I'll look forward to reading last year's trippie over the next couple of days then who knows, hopefully we'll see a new ticker in your signature before too long. :goodvibes
