I don't know why I can't figure this out. :confused3 I have been to a couple of different Disney sites and I seem to get a different answer every time I do. Here's the situation:
I recently purchased 4-day hopper passes for myself, my husband and my two kids (ages 4 and 6). They just arrived in the mail- so exciting! After thinking about it (and reading this site) I have decided that it might make more sense to get a 7 day pass (don't care if the last 3 days are hopper or not- can you do that?) and get the no-expire option. How much more would that cost? I THINK the total for the 4 day hoppers was $856 (I'd have to get my credit card to be sure). The 7 day hopper option is $912, and the 7 day hopper with no expire is $996. Can that even be? It's only $140 more for three additional days for 4 people, and it doesn't expire? Am I missing something? What's the catch, people?!?!? It seems a little too good to be true.
My husband thinks we should pack in 7 full days of Disney on our 7 day trip, do or die. I, the sensible but apparently Disney-clueless one, think it would behoove us to do 4 days at the parks this time, and then save the 3 extra days for another trip next year or so. Don't you agree? :earboy2:

We've never been there before! Chalk this up to newbie-ism.
Thanks so much in advance!

This is one case where it's really not too good to be true. As you add more days to your pass the days get less expensive with MYW. Disney wants people to stay longer because they know they'll make more money off of the longer resort stays, food, souvenirs, etc. You can buy just the 7 day passes and not add the extra expense for the no expiration until the very end. That way if you use them all this time you won't have paid for something you didn't need but if you decide to sit out a day or two from the parks you can still add the no expiration so you can use them for the next trip. You will be charged the full price for the no expiration addition to a 7 day pass no matter how many days you have left though.

If you're stupid then I am too. I gag every time I try to read the new ticket information. :rotfl:

Hope Minerva was able to help but I'm still incredibly confused. :confused3

Trying to do 7 FULL speed days at Disney with two young children is asking for trouble. You cannot see all of Disney going full speed for 2 weeks, much less one. Build rest time and days off into your schedule. We like to go full speed 2 days then take a day off, 2 more days full on then another day off. Only you and your husband know what your kids can handle, but remember, Disney will still be there next year. And by all means buy the 7 day, no exp. tix. If you've got a couple days admission left when you get back home, it's good motivation to go back again. :)

If you feel your are going to go to Disney again, wouldn't it make sense to buy the 10 day no expiration tickets?

I'm sorry, I hope I didn't confuse you too badly. If there is anything I can help with feel free to PM me and maybe I can make myself more clear. I know I seem to be in the minority but I actually like the new ticketing system and it's definitely saving us money over the old ones.
