I need advice from anonymous internet posters...

Have the formal complaints netted no result? In my company he would have been bounced out on his ars by now. If I were her I would press the issue with the company, and go over the supervisor's head if need be.

Have her check on her workplace's sexual harassment policy.

Are you serious? You want to know if this guy has stepped over the line? HE'S STEPPED THREE MILES OVER THE LINE & if the employer doesn't do something about it, your wife should seek legal counsel over this matter. In no way should she put up with this at her workplace... No way in H*ll....

The same for my company. This person would already be out or at the very least on some kind of leave pending investigation. HR is usually quick about these things.

Alright. The guy has been fired. I think once the legal department got involved, he was toast. Thanks for your input.
Yay! :cool1:

YEEEEUCK! I've seen sexual harrassment in the workplace. This is even creepier than that, like he's nuts as well as a disgusting pig! I hope your DW is doing OK.

Not a joke. I ran through all those scenarios in my mind when I learned of the tongue/ear incident. I planned to do things, you know, things to the guy. I even rented Pulp Fiction for a refresher (just kidding). But during that initial surge of rage, the guy wasn't standing right there. So the rage passed. Then I started thinking of consequences of my actions, if I were to follow through. Seriously, I could spend some time in jail, lose my professional license with a felony conviction, and all kinds of other things that non-criminals don't have to think about. So now I have contacted my wife's supervisor and we've gotten her supervisor, human resources and general counsel involved. They have given us a "proposal" and we have to decide if we are satisfied with it. It is my nature to second guess my emotional reactions. That's what I'm doing here: wondering if I'm making too big a deal out of this. This guy's about to lose his job. He has a kid. I don't want to be flippant. But just for the record, we'll be giving him a big thumbs down. He made his bed.

I too do not think in any way that you are over-reacting. So sorry for this guy's kid but that's not your problem. He should act like a responsible adult, if *only* for his kid's sake. Part of being an adult is thinking about the consequences of your actions before you take action. He's got alot to learn. Your wife needs support through this and that is exactly what you are giving her! Good luck to you both.

In reading this Thread (and I know the dude has been fired)...but as I read I thought that the tongue in the ear was MUCH WORSE than the Clay Aiken hand over Kelly's mouth scenario.....tongue in ear.........HORRIBLE. :sad2:

Where exactly has THAT tongue been.........ewwwwwwwwww! :scared:

Glad he is gone. :thumbsup2

Well, now, that's a thought that I could live without. :furious:

Sorry, OP, I was just quoting Kelly when Clay asked her if what he did was a "no no" :worried: and she replied..."o a big no no" ::yes:: ...."I don't know where that hand has been" :crazy2: ....of course fueling a huge Rosie O'Donnell comment and on and on........

On the upside...the creepy dude is gone!!! :thumbsup2

Very glad to hear it. I have been reading all this and I would have been one to smack the guy for putting his tongue in my ear. It would not be the first time I have done that either. Creeps like that do not deserve their job. :thumbsup2
