I'm so mad at myself and my parents too!!! I was waiting and waiting for them to chose a date to book their 50th anniversary party. Well, they finally did and told me last night. I called CRO to book today and was told the code for discount expired yesterday!! I still have AAA, but it's not as good as the original deal.

Does anyone know of any additional discounts that might apply for June 23-30? Think any more will come up? I should have just booked and changed the date as needed. This will be our first time staying in the park, so I'm new to all of this.

Well, to look on the bright side - We're going to Disney World!!!
I have to figure out how to do that date counter and all that fun stuff. I'm so excited - I am finishing my last week of college this week and am treating myself and my sons to a great vacation. They've dealt with a divorce and a full time working & part time college mom for the past two years.

We all need the magic!!!

There is an annual pass discount available for those dates. If you need more info. ask away......

I dont know if you need rooms and tickets but if you check Expedia they soemtimes have really good discounts if you get the package (room and tix). If you just get a room thru them its usually rack. We booked thru them last Sept and got close to 45% off rack rates for our room.

I would still ask for the discount. Let me explain why. Last summer I had booked CBR at the code rate in April for our trip in July. Well about two weeks before our trip, we had saved more money than we had planned and so I thought of upgrading to WL. Now the code had expired in May or June. But when I asked the CM if I could still change he said yes and he booked a NEW reservation and cancelled the other. Now already having a coded rate may have helped but he was able to do a new reservation with code rates after they expired. Just explain your situation and they may can help.

Thank you for taking the time to reply.

My ex took my sons to WDW last summer (knowing full well I planned to take them this summer as a celebration for my graduation - grrrr!!!). I wish I had thought ahead to have him buy them annuals and split the cost with me. Do you think there's any chance I could have the cost of their tickets applied to an annual that would be sort of retroactive? Probably not, but if any one has that info, this is the place to ask right?

I will continue to look for deals and packages. I'm wondering how this SARS outbreak will affect attendance and room bookings. Most die hards like us would still go but there may be some drop off in reservations. The CRO said the value and moderate resorts are almost sold out for my week - June 23, but maybe the wealthy will stay home!!! No offense to anyone here : )

Thanks again!

If they purchased park hoppers that have any days left on them you could probably still upgrade them to an AP. If they got Unlimited Magic Passes (or whatever they were calling the on-site lenght of stay passes at the time) you are probably out of luck. If they have passes with any kind of days left (be they theme park or 'plusses') it can't hurt to call Disney.

I spoke with CRO on Sat. and she said there were discounts pending from 6/15 til sometime in Aug. She said they had not dropped yet and to watch the paper. Hopefully they will be published soon.

Leslie,

I hope that's the case - I'll keep my fingers crossed. Thanks for the encouragement.
