I really would like to go see Spirited Away tomorrow. DH doesn't want to see it and has to work, his co-workers that are my friends too also have to work, my two new friends don't like Japanese Animation so don't want to go, and neither of my parents want to see it either. :( That means I'm either going to have to go by myself or wait until it comes out on video if it ever does. :(

Sorry, I'm just feeling sorry for myself today. :(

go see it alone. I have a difficult time seeing movies with people I knwo because they always try to talk to me... like my best friend who talks in a really loud voice.... it's quite embarrassing. I love going to the movies alone.

I've only gone to a movie alone once before and didn't really enjoy it. I like sharing movies with others, and you can't do that after the movie if no one else has seen it. :(

Sure!! If you start driving now, maybe you'll make it in time to go see it tomorrow ;)

rajah, i often feel the same way. {{{hugs}}}

I have a 5 & 7 year old you can take with you and they can be there in 10 minutes! ;) LOL!

LOL! Not unless you came with them, and it would have to be tomorrow for me ;)

At least Spirited Away is playing near you.
DH and I were going to go, but the closest place to us showing the movie is over an hour away.

Rajah - I don't go to movies by myself (don't like being alone in public) and DH and I can't seem to get our schedules in line. Plus, I don't make him go see stuff he's not truly interested in... 'cause I don't want him to do that to me! So, if you want to schedule a once-a-month or whatever "movie time" with me, that would be great!

If movies came out once a month that I wanted to see, I'd say yes!! How about instead of once a month, whenever movies come out that we both think sound good? :)

Were you interested in Spirited Away?

Rajah - Whenever a movie comes out that looks good - sounds good to me! I saw some preview for Spirited Away and it looked interesting (kind of scary, actually). The director (?) looks like a very talented person, plus the fact that Disney brought the film to America (for exposure and profit) shows that they took a lot of interest in it. That, in turn, makes me interested because it seems like a good quality film. If all of that made sense...
Here's the sticking point - I already have plans to go visit my parents this weekend, so I won't be available until next weekend.

How dare you actually have plans!! ;) ;) ;)

My mom's now saying she might be willing to see it with me tomorrow now that she's seen a trailer for it. If she does want to, I'd like to see it before it disappears (no idea how long it'll be here). If not, and if it's still showing next weekend, I think I can wait a weekend and see about next Saturday. :) And if I do see it tomorrow and it's any good, I might just be willing to see it again ;)

Then it's a deal. Either way, have fun!

I don't enjoy watching bad movies alone. If I don't have somebody with me, I have nobody to critisize the movie to. :(

;)
