I mailed/received my cookie recipie......

I received my package today from FTWFAN (Jane)!! The box was huge!! LOL Jane, you really sent me way to much stuff and really outdid yourself!!

Jane sent me a beautiful letter she wrote about the recipe she sent me...How it started, why it is called what it is, ect...absolutely beautiful! Next she had 4 mixing bowls with covers!! Exactly what I needed too! I don't know how you knew this, but I had been telling DH the other day how much I needed a new set!! Thank you so much for those! Next was a package of 2 mixing spatulas, a container of Cloves and a container of Cinnamon, a beautiful Halloween House that is decorated with Ghosts and Pumpkins on the outside and on the inside you put tea lights to light it up!! She sent me some great Black and Orange Tea lights to go with it!! Finally, she sent me a great book called "Ideals Thanksgiving...50 years of Celebrating Life's Most Treasured Moments"...It is a beautiful book with verses and prayers in it and also short stories!! A wonderful book and I really appreciate it, Jane!! Thank you so much for all the wonderful stuff you have sent me! I am going to make the "Billy Goat Cookies" tomorrow!!

My package went out yesterday to the state below me, so hopefully my recipient will get it at the beginning of next week!! I had so much fun in this exchange and Jane, once again, you went above and beyond!! Thanks so much!

Wow....Beanie that was quite a haul

How are we doing everyone? I have 9 or 10 people that haven't made a peep yet.....I hope you all remember that Oct. 31 is mail-by date. I will mail reminders to those I haven't heard from on Monday.

Man, that was quick! I just mailed your pkg Thursday! I am glad it got to you so fast though!!!I am tickled that you like everything. After I retd home from the post office I realized that I had left the second recipe out of your box, so I will be pming it to you soon. It is a special recipe that my Mom converted from a fudge brownie recipe! I can't wait for you to get it also.

Let me know how you like the Billy Goat Cookies when you make them. Ever since DH saw that I was sending you that recipe, he has been wanting me to make some. So, guess what I will be doing one night this week.

Again, glad that you liked everything and I hope you and your family enjoy the cookies and candles!!!!!

I received my box yesterday(Friday)from newmouscateer and oh my goodness,what a box!She sent me two great recipes for Chocolate Dipped Butter cookies and Tiny Tarts.Each of these were hand written and each had two Christmas stockings on them(I would sure like to know how they were made)You dig deeper in the box and there was a bottle of vanilla extract,a package of chopped walnuts,a box of baker's chocolate,a beautiful pot holder with a snowman on it(this thing is huge),a matching dish towel,a package of gingerbread men ornaments(in case I didnt feel like baking the real things),2 tiny tart/muffin pans(now I can make the recipe),a twelve pack of Yankee Candle tea lights Christmas cookie scented,two Christmas Cookie votives,two Sugar cookie votives(the scent of this box is incredible),a recipe book of nothing but cookies and a very nice letter.WHEW!!Thank you so much Marilyn.My DH was amazed that someone would send so much to someone they didnt know.I cant wait to get started.

I finally found the other stuff I was looking for that I wanted to send, so if I can get by the post office on Monday, I'll mail it then.

Received mine yesterday (saturday) from Poohshoney.......thanks a bunch. Didn't take very long to get here...only a few days from Germany....wow !! mail was expensive but quick !!
German spices , german cookie recipes and cookie cutters.
