Since going from deluxe to mod isn't the most ideal scenario, hoping that being close to the main bldg. and not too far from the pool should we use it makes the switch a little softer. Third, if I finagle our schedule right, sangria for me as I walk back to my room at night at least once!

At least you aren't going from deluxe to value, that would be pure torture. Plus sangria should make it all better

Tokyo Dining will be new to the boys since Steve and I ate there alone in January. Then there are a couple places we've all eaten but it's been quite a few years - Mama Melrose, Liberty Tree Tavern, Whispering Canyon Café. But wherever we eat on Thanksgiving will be new to us all. Where is that again? Oh yeah, either Trail's End or here:

Yum, getting so hungry reading this. Hoping we can do Tokyo again this year since Jason missed it on our last visit. And of course LTT and ooey gooey cake is in my future too.

Speaking of Thanksgiving Day, where we eat dinner won't be the only new to us thing. If you remember awhile back I gave the boys 3 choices as far as a non-park thing to do: mini golf, renting watercraft, or seeing La Nouba. They picked this and I'm planning to go as soon as they open in the late morning:

Since the majority of people are not basketball fans I'll explain what this is: Marcus Jordan, Michael Jordan's son, opened this store/museum back in May in Disney Springs. Obviously you can buy Air Jordan merchandise but you can also see MJ's trophies, uniforms, family pictures, etc. on display. I have never been a sports fan and enjoy absolutely no sport whatsoever except basketball, simply because over the last 8 years I've had to watch so much of it that it's grown on me. We've visited the Basketball Hall of Fame in Ct. and I didn't have a terrible time so I'll probably enjoy going here, too. Not for 5 hours, though......and I've already told the boys they need to start saving their own $$!

Thanks for the explanation. I am of course clueless on all things basketball. But it sounds like something your boys will love.

OH! The SW fireworks will be new to all of us also, even though Steve and I saw the "old" version which were relatively new at the time back in January. Plus we have the "new" Soarin which the boys are looking forward to, FEA which none of us are really into but I'll attempt to FP simply to say I've done it, and Mickey's Royal Friendship Faire stage show which only I seem to be excited about. I haven't read any reviews yet but it sounds interesting

I left here Saturday 7/2 and arrived at the airport in Atlanta about 6pm. My nephews were all overjoyed to see me because I'm an extremely cool Aunt Since it was dinnertime we went right to a favorite of mine from when my parents lived in Ga. years ago (and also a favorite of @ArielSRL )

I LOVE Zaxby's. It is real close to work so we get it a lot. I am fond of the Kickin Chicken Sandwhich

The next day my sister brought me to 2 malls, the first one specifically to visit the Disney Store. We don't have one by us - well, there's one in a mall about 35 minutes away so that's not bad but I don't get there that often; then there's a Disney outlet (which I think often has cooler stuff) about 30 minutes away but I really need one closer! Anyway, there was one reason for our pit stop to this mall:

I stay away from outdoor malls in July they are pretty few and far between in our neighborhood. If you ever make it to Nashville they have a pretty good Disney outlet. They get a lot of Disneyland Merch plus the regular Disney Store stuff. I have found some pretty good deals on park merch there.

Then my sister and I got a side of garlic herb fries to share which came with some type of dipping sauce. We couldn't figure out exactly what it was - not quite ranch, not bleu cheese........

Those are my peeps in the pictures so it's cool Although I'm not too sure Mr. Flowers would like his name and pictures of his new house all over these boards, but I'm taking my chances in the interest of good reporting.

There are 4 MB's; 3 are white and one is gray. I know at least 3 of them are based on old purse prints and I'm fairly certain all 4 are. At first I was going to order some covers which I still may do for the guys, but I definitely want this D&B one!

Sooooo. I had no intention of buying a new purse until our trip but I came across someone on a Dooney resell board selling one I had been considering. It was a good price and I thought I couldn't buy it for that in the park so of course I bought it. Now I am thinking I need a sketch MB to match

You know, we went from mod to value once a couple years ago: a week at POFQ and then 3 nights in a LM room for me. It wasn't the end of the world but we did feel the differences so you're right, I think deluxe to value would stink

About Splitsville YES lol, when I gave them the choice of La Nouba, mini golf again or renting water craft Chris said, " Bowling". And Ricky quickly agreed. I normally prefer not to do stuff down there that we can do at home (meaning mini golf would have been my 3rd choice) but it's getting tougher to make Ricky look forward to things down there and since I can eat and drink in Splitsville I figured hey, why not??

I almost tried the Kickin Chicken sandwich and probably would have if I was able to get it more often. I couldn't pass up my chicken salad though!

Pretty much my favorite thing about the Disney outlets is all the park merchandise they have. The outlet close to me always has a TON of Disneyland stuff which I don't buy since I don't go there (not by choice!) but they do get in some pretty cool WDW stuff. I'll be going sometime in August because they also have a Nike and Under Armour outlet so I get lots of back to school stuff for the boys, so I'll get to check Disney out at least once before our trip

I got this one The girl who sold it was a passholder and bought it an carried it for a few hours. I can't find a thing wrong with it plus it has the reg card. It was significantly cheaper than what I would've paid. Also the group name is Disney Dooney & Bourke/Harvey's/Vera Bradley. They have page of rules that explains how they work. The group is real good about keeping the peace for the most part. They also have this sale called wacky Wednesday that pretty much any Dooney, Harvey and Vera can be sold plus random Disney items. I have bought several things with all good expriences.

Well, Since You Asked.........​

OMG guys I don't even know how to start this without getting right to the point, but I want to keep the "mystery" going for a paragraph or two lol. But let's just get this out of the way-

I"M NOT PREGNANT ​

I say that because whenever someone says "I have some news" or "OMG you won't believe it", people (including myself) tend to go, "YOU"RE PREGNANT!!" And even in our mid-40's when my girlfriend said that to me last month I was right in my response, she IS indeed pregnant. Surprise!
Anyway on with my story. Yesterday Steve and I were running errands and I was telling him about a friend of mine who had just booked an Aug. Disney trip this past Wed. She posted on FB that she was "eating free" thanks to a friend who told her about that (not me) so I commented and asked where she was staying (POP), when she was going. After she answered I then asked if she'd done her FP's yet since she's within her 60 days and her answer was along these lines, "someone told me I should download an app to my phone to check on those but I haven't; maybe I should call you?" so I told Steve she was giving me agita and I had to talk to her; anyone see where this is going yet?

Here's his response:

"Hm, maybe the two of us should go down for a couple days in August...."

Are you with me NOW??

And here's my response - really, what else could it possibly be???

"OK!!!"

SO WE ARE GOING TO DISNEY NEXT MONTH! 48 DAYS FROM TODAY TO BE EXACT!!! AND IT'S JUST THE 2 OF US!!!!

If I knew how to use gifs I would have one here of some cool character doing an awesome dance, but since I don't you'll have to just picture my head on this guy

Whew! So like I said, we go 48 days from now. This is the most last-minute Disney trip we've ever planned so I feel like I have lots to do! I can make my FP's, we discussed getting another AP, of course figuring out where we want to eat and whether to make ADR's or not. Plus our park days........and then on top of that getting everything lined up for the boys who we're leaving behind. And believe me, I say that with 100% no guilt

So now you'll have to forgive me for the next few weeks while I divert this PTR from November and do a little August PTR'ing instead, as I'm not quite up to starting a whole 'nother PTR at this point. I completely understand if you want to tune out until we get back to our regularly scheduled discussion, but I'd love for you all to join me as I plan for my (whoops! our ) summer quickie!!

AUGUST 2016 MINI ADULTS-ONLY TRIP DETAILS​

WHEN: August 27th-31st

WHERE: Wilderness Lodge!!!!**

TICKETS: 3 Day PH but upgrading to AP's when down there

ADR's: A couple in mind but have to firm up tonight

PARK DAYS: Also pretty much roughed out but firming up tonight

**When Steve first brought up the trip he said we'd try a value. Our whole reason for not doing a big Aug. trip this year is b/c we're painting our house, building a new deck, buying kitchen appliances for my stepson and his fiancé who just bought a house And I admit it, it's been killing me waiting until November. So this morning after we booked our flights I booked POP and I was fine with that. We stayed 3 nights in a LM room 2 years ago and while it wasn't our favorite and we don't really feel any need to go value again, it certainly wasn't terrible and didn't ruin our trip. So about 3 minutes after I booked POP Steve asks if they have a bar.......and says he thinks he'd like Queen beds like usual......again, who am I to argue? I was so surprised when he said to book WL instead because I've tried getting him to stay there a couple times and he says he just doesn't like the look of it He checked it out again and as soon as he saw the Territory Lounge he was A-OK! I'm absolutely thrilled! Another new-to-us resort we get to try and cross off my wish list!

I really need to work on our plans tonight. I've been all day lol, reading the WL resort thread trying to familiarize myself with the resort because I really know nothing about it. I'll be back soon with more plan details!

I'm glad you came out from lurking to comment and share my excitement I'd had dreams of us going next month but really wasn't counting on it due to all the other stuff we have going on - was just going to suck it up and deal with waiting 10 months between trips lol. So when he suggested it while we were in the car I wanted to jump up and scream but I contained myself!

I'll definitely look for you! I'll be the redhead (every 7-8 weeks ) with huge frizzy Florida August hair with NO kids! Definitely say hello if you recongnize me and when I post our park days lmk if we match up at all

Haha your enthusiasm is making my morning! I'm psyched we're getting AP's again because, of course, that means more trips next year I did make some FP's last night which I'll write about later today and for the most part everything was available. Have to do some ADR's but again, lots to choose from even though it's during free dining so its all good! And I do know of your love for WL which I have a feeling will spill over to me on this trip
