I love it when the waitlist works

Just got confirmation of a standard 2BR at BWV for 12/30! Now we've got a standard room 12/29 to 1/4 EXCEPT for 12/31. I really don't want to move to a preferred view for one night - I've still got my fingers crossed....

I bet they will upgrade whoever has the std room for 12/31 rather than make you move. You might not find that out til you get there.

I've never known DVC to do that. Has anyone here ever gotten an upgrade? When ever I have two separate reservations for different rooms times....I check out, and check back in....as painful as it is.

I have always had good luck with waiting lists although one Christmas stay, we ended up buying a night for cash.....so the point to this note is should the wait list not come through, ask if either an upgrade or room could be procured for cash? Enjoy your trip, WDW is even more special during the holidays.

That's my hope too. Actually, If there is someone staying just 12/31 in a std 2br I
will offer to have them upgrade that person on my preferred ressie just so I don't have to move.

I'm just thinking that since it is NY Eve that some Florida locals booked just the one night at Std and might get an upgrade so they don't have to move people around. Anything can happen! Good Luck!
