Well we did it! Booked Club Level at Yacht Club!!!!! Our last 3 nights will be at CBR and we've never stayed there before. This will be our first CL stay and two new resorts so we are excited! The total for the 6 nights is around $2200 which I think is pretty good considering we get CL. Here are our plans for anyone interested:
Day 1-Arrival and MK DAH
Day 2-Epcot
Day 3-Free Day
Day 4-Check into CBR, AK DAH
Day 5-Magic Kingdom
Day 6-HS DAH
Day 7-Go home

We don't really need Fps since we are doing all 3 DAH events so we booked some and now we have to look into dining!

Yay! Sounds like it will be a fun trip! The CL people can book your dining for you, if you want them to. I usually have them do some, then I do a bit on my own, too. Hope you like both resorts!

Yeah I know zilch about CL lol. I’ll have to do some research. I’ll probably just book dining myself. We will mostly be doing quick service so won’t need a ton of adrs

Yay!

Also, I'll think you already have more plans than we do for this weekend... but I did just get a mine train FP.

Aaaaaand DH is looking at DAH events. Cant remember if theres any this weekend.

So I called Verizon. Someone DID open an account online using the last half of my hyphenated last name and my ss#. They (Verizon) have marked it as fraud and will be contacting all credit bureaus to have the hard inquiry removed.

From a quick Google it seems I can freeze my credit online with all three agencies. Is there anything else I need to be aware of?

We have stayed at the Bernic on 47th (just a couple of blocks from 5th avenue and grand central) and at the Hampton on 54th (when you look it up online it comes up as Hampton Inn Central Park South). The Hampton was just a couple of blocks south of Central Park and close to broadway and the theatre district. I would stay at both again. Decent size rooms, clean and good locations to get around midtown easily. We have also stayed at the Millennium Hilton UN. While this hotel is nicer and has much larger rooms than the other two, its not really near anything unless you happen to be doing business at the UN! A side perk is since it is across the street from the UN, you can't beat the security at the hotel. Have fun in NYC!

Thanks for the recommendations :thumbsup2

We've stayed at the Palace a few times through FHR (nice breakfast perk, and we were upgraded to the Towers). We just booked the Park Hyatt which is right across the street from Carnegie Hall, but I wouldn't stay there if not on points since it's just $$$$$$$$.

I'll look at the Palace---the Park Hyatt though :rotfl2:

So many options. Good luck with whatever you decide! We have done the Marriot Marquis and will be doing the Tryp Times Square (15,000 Wyndham points) and the InterContinental Times Square using a free night cert this April. I don’t think you can really go wrong with whatever you choose. What’s your budget?

I appreciate the suggestions! Just asked dh about a budget---he thinks $350-400 plus parking. Last time we stayed overnight in the city it was for a family wedding and they had a block of rooms at The Lexington which is under the Marriott umbrella. We usually just do day trips :car: so this is a new thing for me :-)

Are you talking about this weekend or the weekend of February 1?

Dah is the best thing ever. It says something when we are willing to fly down last minute to do all three lol

We’ve been to the MK DAH event twice and it was great! Last time we went (mid Dec) we didn’t do any After Hours and we missed it, although we did do the Christmas party and that was fun too. But I think I’d rather do DAH in each park rather than length of stay park hoppers. More relaxation and more fun in less time. I think your plan sounds great!

was listening to a radio about facebook listening in on smartphones and determining the ads to give u.
cats.

cats?

cats.

*incoming cat ads for me*

I'm still trying to figure out (and this will probably prompt it to come back) the add for a tactical knife with a flashlight attached on here. Sometimes stuff that's discussed in here is what prompts them or what I've been doing elsewhere but this one is weird. Another girl at the place I'm temping at (done tomorrow thank goodness, hopefully the next job is a better temp one or perm) and we've both been getting ads at home for the place we're working. They install and repair dock doors etc at warehouses etc, so not a big consumer thing. I think sometimes Google's on drugs.

When I had the issue last month someone also suggested freezing the Chex system that does bank accts. I froze all 4. You do need to notate the PIN number for all somewhere it won't get lost. I have them in two different places. The Chex one sends you the PIN by snail mail. It was super easy and quick to do it all online.

If someone has your SSN, you'll want to freeze ChexSystems and Innovis too. So if you want to open a new bank account you'll need to unfreeze ChexSystems. Call the 3 bureaus and tell them what happened and they can put a mark on your report as well. Some people file police reports for stolen SSN.

There's tons of info on this - here's an article: https://www.experian.com/blogs/ask-...-your-social-security-number-has-been-stolen/

You like steak? Lol the Yatchsman is my favorite but I don’t go that much since it can be annoying to get back to our resort after. We are doing the yatch club in June and we are finally going back to Yatchsman.

Beaches and cream too. I love the chocolate lovers kitchen sink but if you don’t want that much ice cream we love going to ample hills at the boardwalk.

We’ve done the mk dah twice too and loved it. We did the Halloween party in October and it was fun but not something we would plan a trip around.

We’ve done the normal kitchen sink and this last trip we did the Mickey Pants kitchen sink which was so cute and you get to keep the pants! I would love to try yachtsman steakhouse but I think our food budget is going to be awfully small this time. We are definitely going to take advantage of the CL food and probably will eat lots of quick service

Second Yatchmans for steak and love ample hills cookie dough ice cream....we usually stay at BWV so both are super convenient

They have light food offerings during the day (breakfast, snacks, dinner appetizers, drinks, Nespresso machines, etc.). There is a ton of info over on the YC/BC thread if you want to know more. But basically, for us, we end up having breakfast in the lounge, then have a sit down lunch (can be QS), have the dinner apps and then go to the park where we will buy something QS or snack a bit but after the apps we don't really have room for a big dinner. Different people use it in different ways. Have fun planning!

Yeah, we wouldn't be staying there if not on points. And even then we wouldn't if it wasn't a splurge trip for us. A couple of years ago DD and her friends stayed at the Embassy Suites in Midtown for a pretty reasonable price on Thanksgiving weekend.

We love the Yachtsman too, pricey but delicious.

The only place we have stayed in NYC is the Hotel Beacon. It was fantastic. Not too far from Carnegie but not super convenient either.
